Annapurna I, 8,091m. is the tenth highest Himalayan peak in the world. It Is situated between Kali Gandaki and Marshangdi valley, in west Nepal. There are two main base camps, one at Annapurna sanctuary and another one at Kaligandaki valley above Lete Choya village. From both sides there are several routes to the summit.
Annapurna I, was first ascent by Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal as part of a French expedition 3rd June 1950. After that several expedition groups try to climb some of, succeeding some not.
As per our itinerary, drive to Birethanti or more until a motor road is available, trek start through Chomrong village, Khudi, Dheaurali to Annapurna base camp. After the summit, the same way back to Pokhara / Kathmandu. If you get limited time, you can take a direct helicopter flight to the base camp which costs more.
For this expedition, the age doesn’t make any difference, if you are physically fit and healthy, between 18 to 65 years. During the expedition, if someone is seriously injured or sick, the only option is to be rescued by a Helicopter. The rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

For this expedition, you can make your own group or you can join with other groups. Before your arrival at Kathmandu all the necessary climbing permit, lesion officer, base camp staff, equipment and foods, climbing Sherpas, transportation and other requirements will be ready in time.

We provide services for, expedition route permit and lesion officer, custom clearance at airport for the expedition equipment, ground transportation, domestic flight, personal life and medical insurance for lesion officer, Nepalese staff and porters, rescue flight if necessary, hotel reservation etc.

Hotel or lodge accommodation for trek, meals (breakfast – lunch – dinner) with hot drinks during the expedition period, human or animal porters, base camp staff cook, kitchen boys, Climbing guide, climbing Sherpas (porters), one person one tent accommodation with double mattresses at base camp, dining tent with Table, stools and gas heater, Kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, store tent, shower tent, toilet tent, solar panel with battery for recharge electric device, Satellite phone sets for communication etc.
Note: High altitude tents, climbing gears, climbing equipment for Sherpa, high altitude foods, Oxygen bottles, HP gas, walkie-talkie sets etc. expedition team should bring or buy at Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about expedition and other necessary information.
Check the expedition’s equipment, shop for other necessary items for you, just relax at the same hotel or visit as you like.
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up, drive you to the airport. From Kathmandu to Pokhara, 32 minutes morning flight. During the short flight, you can see a nice view of Jugal Himalaya, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. Meet with the expedition's staff. Lunch at Pokhara. After lunch, drive about two hours to Birethanti for overnight hotel or lodge accommodation.
After breakfast, start your first day trek lunch on the way, trek continues to Chomrung village for overnight lodge accommodation. 3 to 4 hours trek.
Chomrung is the last village to Annapurna base camp, nowadays there are several tea houses along this trekking route. Lunch at Sinuwa trek through Khudi cave overnight lodge accommodation at Dobhan. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek to Deurali for lunch and gradually climb to Machhapuchhre base camp for overnight hotel or lodge accommodation. 5 to 6 hours trek.
Now you are above 3700m. high, you will feel very dry and thin air, you need to rest for high acclimatize rest until lunch, after lunch slowly trek to Annapurna base camp for overnight tented camp. 3 to 4 hours trek.
Your Sherpas and base camp staff will establish the base camp, set up all the tents at base camp.
As a local tradition, worship before you climb the Annapurna. A Lama will offer a puja ceremony and hang the prayer flags at the base camp for the peace, long life and success of the expedition.
Check and fix your climbing equipment to make it ready to climb for the next days.
After four-days well acclimatization at base camp, from day 11 to 38, during 28 days, climb from base camp to summit and back to base camp will be enough time, if not you can extend the time for summit.
Packing your all-personal equipment, Sherpas and base camp staff will collect all the garbage for disposal. After dinner Tips for Sherpas and staff, celebrate expedition success base camp party with team members and staff. Complete the trip.
After breakfast at camp, descend to Deaurali for lunch overnight lodge accommodation at Bamboo. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek to Chomrung for lunch, trek continues to motor able road, drive back to Pokhara star hotel as your booking, welcome drinks at the reception, check in room.
Day time visit at Pokhara, after lunch afternoon flight to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu airport our representative is waiting for you, drive to the star hotel, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport and back to your destination. Complete the trip.
