Cheo Himal 6,820m. above sea level, located in the Peri Himal range at Manang district west Nepal. Which is about 3 km. far from Himlung. Cheo Himal first ascent 13th October 1992, by Japanese Shigeki Imoto reached together with the Nepalese Tshering Sherpa, Ful Bahadur Rai and Dambar Bahadur Gurung ascent from the southeast ridge to the summit.
To reach at Cheo base camp, drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani, follow Manaslu circuit trekking route, 4 days trek through Dharapani, Tilje village, Bhimthang to the base camp at Pongkar glacier.There are several routes to Cheo summit.
For the expedition, age doesn’t make any difference, if you are physically fit and healthy, between 18 to 70 years. During the expedition, if someone is seriously injured or sick, the only option is to be rescued by a Helicopter. The rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

Note: High altitude tents, climbing gears, climbing equipment for Sherpa, high altitude foods, Oxygen bottles, HP gas, walkie-talkie sets etc. expedition team should bring or buy at Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, welcome drinks at the reception, check in the room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant, our tour manager will brief you about expedition and other necessary information.
Check the expedition’s equipment, shopping other necessary items you need, just relax at same hotel or visit as you like.
Early morning after breakfast, guide will pick up you at hotel, drive with expedition staff to Khudi (Beshishar) by private vehicle 4 to 5 hours drive, change another jeep drive about 3 to 4 hours to Dharapani for overnight lodge or hotel accommodation.
After breakfast, start your first day trek, cross the suspension bridge at Marshyangdi river, gradually climb to Tilche for lunch, trek continue to Karche for overnight camp. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, an easy trek to Sangure kharka for lunch, trek continues to Bhimthang for overnight camp. Good campsite with beautiful views of Manaslu, Cheo and Himlung Himalayan peaks. There are several tea houses. 5 to 6 hours trek
Rest for high acclimatization at Bhimthang. After breakfast, take a packed lunch, explore the glacier, back to camp, or just relax at the camp and take a hot shower.
After breakfast trek pass through glacier to Cheo base camp at Pongkar glacier. 4 to 5 hours trek.
Your Sherpa and staff will establish the base camp, set up all the tents at the base camp.
As a local tradition, worship before you climb cheo. A local Lama will offer a puja ceremony and hang the prayer flags at the base camp for the peace, long life and success of expedition.
Check and fix your climbing equipment and make it ready to climb for the next days.
From day 10 to 24, during 14 days period climbing from base camp to summit and back to base camp will be enough time. If not, you can extend the time.
Pack all your personal equipment. Staff will clean the base camp, collect all the garbage for disposal. After lunch, trek back to Bhimthang for an overnight camp. About 3 hours trek. Complete the expedition.
After breakfast, same way back to Sangure Kharka for lunch, trek continues to Tilche village for overnight camp. 5 to6 hours trek.
After breakfast, descend to Dharapani for lunch and night accommodation at the hotel.
After dinner Tips for staff, expedition success party with team members and staff.
After breakfast, drive by reserve jeep to Beasi Shahar, after lunch change the vehicle drive to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu welcome drinks at the reception, check in the room. Dinner as you choose at any restaurant.
Free day to sightseeing or shopping for gifts and other at Kathmandu. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport, flight back to your destination. Complete the trip.
