Manaslu is the 8th highest Himalayan peak in the world. 8,163m. high above sea level. The Himalayan peak is situated between about 64 km. Annapurna at the west and Ganesh Himal range at the east, located above Buri Gandaki valley at Gorkha direct. The local name is called Nupri valley. This region is famous for Manaslu circuit Larke pass trek.
Manaslu was first climbed on 9th May1956 by Toshi Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu Sherpa, from the northeast route led by Yuko Maki, the Japanese expedition leader. There are several routes ascent to the summit. The northeast ridge is the normal route for the summit. After base camp, you need to set up four camps to the summit.
There are three different routes to reach at Manaslu base camp.
1. Trek from Dharapani to Tilche, Bhimthang, cross Larkya pass 5,106m. to base camp.
2. Follow the Budi Gandaki valley trek to Manaslu base camp.
3. Flight by helicopter to Sama Gaon.
As per our itinerary, the trek will be start from Soti Khola to Manaslu base camp, after summit flight back to Kathmandu by helicopter to save your happy time,or you can trek through Larke pass to Dharapani
at Marsyangdi valley, drive back to Kathmandu.The motor road from Arughat to Tibet border through Sama Gaon is under construction, in near future it will be complete and easier to reach at the Manaslu base camp.
For this expedition, the age doesn’t make any difference, if you are physically fit and healthy, between 18 to 70 years. During the expedition, if someone is seriously injured or sick, the only option is to be rescued by Helicopter. The rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

For this expedition, you can make your own group or you can join with other groups. Before your arrival at Kathmandu all the necessary climbing permit, lesion officer, base camp staff, equipment and foods, climbing Sherpas, transportation and other requirements will be ready in time.

Lodge accommodation during the trek to Samagaon, meals (breakfast – lunch – dinner) with hot drinks. human or animal porters, base camp staff cook, kitchen boys, climbing guide, climbing Sherpas (porters), one person one tent accommodation with double mattresses at base camp, dining tent with Table, stools and gas heater, Kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, store tent, shower tent, toilet tent, solar panel with battery for recharge electric device, Satellite phone sets for communication etc.
Note: High altitude tents, climbing gears, climbing equipment for Sherpa, high altitude foods, Oxygen bottles, HP gas, walkie-talkie sets etc. expedition team should bring or buy at Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.
Check the expedition’s equipment, shopping other necessary items what you need, just relax at the same hotel or visit as you like.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive with guide and porters from Kathmandu to Soti Khola or more via Arughat Bazaar by private vehicle, overnight lodge accommodation at Soti khola or more.
After breakfast, start your first day an easy trek along Buri Gandaki river, lunch at Lapubesi overnight lodge accommodation at Machha khola. Beautiful campsite. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, an easy trek lunch at Khorlabesi, after Khorlabesi there is a natural hot spring on the route, where you can take a hot shower. Trek continues cross the Buri Gandaki bridge overnight lodge accommodation at Dobhan. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek along the Buri Gandaki river cross the bridge lunch at Jagat (1,410m.) check Manaslu trekking permit, trek continues again cross the bridge, little bit climb to Phillim village for overnight lodge accommodation. Good campsite with beautiful views. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, an easy trek to Ekle Bhatti, cross the Buri Gandaki bridge. Trek through bamboo bush lunch below Nyak. After lunch, the trek continues to Deng village for night lodge accommodation. From Ekle Bhatti separate the route for Chum and Nupri. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, cross the bridge gradually climb to Bihi village again cross the bridge lunch at Ghap village, trek continues through a jungle to Namrung village for overnight lodge accommodation. 6 to 7 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek through Ligaon, Syogaon to Lhogaon for lunch, trek continues to Samagaon for overnight lodge accommodation. From Syala village you can see a giant view of Manaslu. 6 to 7 hours trek.
Now you are above 3,500m. you will feel very thin and dry air, you need to rest for high acclimatization. After breakfast, visit the monastery and worship for your success and long life.
After breakfast, trek to base camp. Overnight tented camp, good campsite with running water and beautiful view of Manaslu. 4 to 5 hours trek.
Your Sherpa and staff will establish the base camp, set up all the tents at the base camp.
As per local Buddhist tradition, worship before you climb the Manaslu. A local Lama will offer a puja ceremony and hang the prayer flags at the base camp for the peace, long life and success of the expedition.
Check and fix your climbing equipment and make ready to climb for the next days.
After four-night well acclimatize at the base camp, from day 15 to 42, during 28 days climbing period, from base camp to summit and back to base camp will be enough time. If not, you can extend the time for the summit.
Packing all your personal equipment. Staff will clean the base camp, collect all the garbage for disposal. After dinner Tips for climbing Sherpas and camp staff, celebrate expedition success base camp party with the team members and staff.
After the successful summit of Manaslu, you’ll fly to Kathmandu by helicopter. If you like trek, through Larke pass to Dharapani, it takes four days with few porters and staff. Complete the expedition
If you fly by helicopter, at Kathmandu airport our representative is waiting for you, drive to the star hotel, and have a welcome drink at the reception check in room. Afternoon free, lunch as your choice. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport, flight back to your destination. Complete the trip.
