Saipal Himal 7,03am. High above sea. It is a very beautiful Himalayan peak at Gurans Himalayan range, situated far west between Humla, Bajhang and Bajura district in Nepal. This region is still completely remote. The peak was very far from Kathmandu, nowadays it is closer by flight and motorable road.
The Saipal Himalayan peak first summit on 21st October 1963 by a Japanese expedition team led by Katsutoshi Hirabayashi and Passang Phutar Sherpa from the south ridge. Just few groups climbed this peak, it is not busy like other trekking routes and the Himalayan peaks.
There are two base camps, one from the Northeast side and another from South. As per our itinerary, the expedition route takes from Simikot, Salli khola, Chala village to base camp and after the summit the same way back to Simikot, the capital from Humla district.
For this expedition, age doesn’t make any difference, if you are physically fit and healthy, between 18 to 70 years. During the expedition, if someone is seriously injured or sick, the only option is to be rescued by a Helicopter. The rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

For this expedition, you can make your own group or you can join with other groups. Before your arrival at Kathmandu all the necessary climbing permit, lesion officer, base camp staff, equipment and foods, climbing Sherpas, transportation and other requirements will be ready in time.

We provide services for, expedition route permit and lesion officer, custom clearance at airport for the expedition equipment, ground transportation, domestic flight, personal life and medical insurance for the lesion officer, Nepalese staff and porters, rescue flight if necessary, hotel reservation etc.
Tent accommodation, meals (breakfast-lunch-dinner) with hot drinks. human or animal porters, base camp staff cook, kitchen boys, climbing guide, climbing Sherpas (porters), one person one tent accommodation with double mattresses at base camp, dining tent with Table, stools and gas heater, Kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, store tent, shower tent, toilet tent, solar panel with battery for recharge electric device, Satellite phone sets for communication etc.

Note:High altitude tents, climbing gears, climbing equipment for Sherpa, high altitude foods, Oxygen bottles, HP gas, walkie-talkie sets etc. expedition team should bring or buy at Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to a star hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about expedition and other necessary information.
Check the expedition’s equipment, shopping for other necessary items that you need, just relax at the same hotel or visit as you like.
After lunch, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive to the airport about 45 minutes after the afternoon flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, at Nepalgunj airport hotel’s vehicle waiting for you. Short drive to hotel, welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Nepali set dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for a 70 minutes morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, meet with expedition staff, and have lunch at Simikot. After lunch, drive by reserve jeep from Simikot to Salli Khola. Overnight camp at Salli Khola. Beautiful campsite at the bank of Karnali river.
After breakfast, cross the bridge at Karnali river, gradually climb to Chala, a very remote village. Lunch stop below Chala. Trek continues to Mulabari for overnight camp. From Chala to Mulabari is a very dusty route. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, follow the Karang khola, lunch stop at Sumjo Kharka. Overnight at base camp. 6 to 7 hours trek.
Sherpa staff will establish the base camp, set up all the tents at the base camp.
As a local Buddhist tradition, worship before you climb the Saipal. A local Lama will offer a puja ceremony and hang the prayer flags at the base camp for the peace, long life and success of the expedition.
Check and fix your climbing equipment to make it ready to climb for the next days.
After four-night well acclimatization at base camp, from day 10 to 23, during 14 days period climbing from base camp to summit and back to base camp will be enough time, if not, you can extend the time for summit.
Pack all the personal equipment and tents, staff will clean the base camp, collect all the garbage for disposal. After lunch, the same way back to Mulabari for overnight camp. 2 to 3 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek to Salli khola for lunch for about 4 to 5 hours. After lunch, drive back to Simikot by reserve jeep. Night accommodation at the hotel.
After dinner Tips for the staff, expedition success gathering party with staff and team members. Complete the expedition.
After breakfast, morning flight to Nepalgunj, lunch at Nepalgunj, afternoon flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu airport vehicle waiting for you, drive to the hotel, welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner as you choose at any restaurant.
Free day, you can visit as you choose. Evening our representative take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport and back to your destination. Complete the trip.
