About Visa & Trekking Permits

All foreign nationals, other than Indian citizens, are required to obtain a tourist visa to enter Nepal. You can apply for an online visa from your home country or visa available on arrival at the airport or major entry entry border from India and Tibet. One passport size photograph is required with visa application form and minimum 6 months valid passport. An extension of the Tourist Visa may permit up to 150 days in one calendar year, from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu.

30 days, per visa Multiple entries US$ 40.00
90 days, per visa Multiple entries US$ 100.00

 

 

Trekking permits:

It is necessary to get a trekking permit from the Department of Immigration. Each trekking area needs a separate trekking permit, if you trek two or more areas, you need two or more permits. Police checkpoints are located in several areas at trekking routes, please do not take a risk, trek without trek permit, which could be punishable. Trekking permit fees can be changed from time to time by the Department of Immigration, contact us for the latest information before planning your trek.

Kanchanjunga: Kanchanjung B.C. Olangchung gola, Lumba Sumba. US$ 10.00 per week, per person.
Makalu: Makalu B.C. Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya,Pawa khola. For the first 4 weeks US$ 10.00 and after 4 weeks US$ 20.00 per week, per person.
Dolkha: Gauri Shanker B.C. Tashi Labtsa, Rasuwa : Thuman and Timure US$ 10.00 per week, per person.
Manaslu: regular trekking route (after Jaget to Thonje) September to November for 7 days US$ 70.00, after 7 days per day US$ 10.00 per person.
December to August for 7 days US$ 50.00, after 7 days per day US$ 7.00 per person.
Ganesh himal: Chekampar,Lokpa- Ripchet – Borji – Chule – Nile – Rajen Gompa – Mu Gompa. September to November US$ 35.00 for 8 days,
December to August US$ 25.00 for 8 days, per person.
Lower Dolpo Phoksundo Lake US$ 10.00 per week, per person.
Mugu: Mangri, Mugu, Chuuti, Sang Dolpo, Ongri (Namlang valley) For 7 days US$ 90.00 after 7 days US$ 15.00per day per person.
Humla: Muchu, Nara pass, Hilsa Limi valley For 7 days US$ 50.00 after 7 days US$ 7.00 per day per person.
Api-Saipal: Khandeshori,Surmasarovar, Saipal, Dhuli and Vyas VDC. For 7 days US$ 90.00 after 7 days US$ 15.00 per day per person.
Manang Nar Phu area September to November US$ 90.00 per week.
December to August US$ 75.00 per week
Upper Dolpa Mustang For the first 10 days US$ 500 per person and after 10 days US$ 50 per day per person, or equivalent convertible foreign currency.

 

 

Trek without permit:

Khumbu Everest Base Camp, Solu Pike, Dudh Kund, Kalinchok, Langtang-Gosainkunda-Helambu, Paldor Peak Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Jomsom Muktinath-Kali Gandaki valley, Annapurna Sanctuary, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Khopra, Mardi Jumla and Rara Lake area, can trek without trekking permit.

Note:

Trekking permit is free of cost, but you need to pay national park or conservation entry fees.
