Island peak 6,160m. one of the busy trekking peaks at the Khumbu region. It is easy to climb, you don’t need too much technique. Not difficult to summit and back, you need just fix ropes to ascend and descend, your climbing guide will fix all the ropes as necessary. From the summit you can see the view of Mt. Everest, Makalu, giant view of Lhotse south face, Nuptse summit, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Baruntse, Chamlang, Ama Labtsa pass and Chhukung valley.

During this peak climbing, you can visit different Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries in the Khumbu region. Sagarmatha national park, after Namche village you can see many wild animals and birds. From Thyangboche you can see a spectacular panoramic view of Khumbu Himalaya, Mt. Everest, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawuche, Kwangde and many Himalayan peaks. After Island peak summit, you will trek to Everest base camp (Kalapatter) and Thame valley. This trek will start from Lukla, same way back and end at Lukla.

There are several Tourist standard hotels, lodges and restaurants available on the trail, which make it easy for this peak climbing and trekking. You will use a tent only for one night at Island peak base camp. We suggest every trekker bring their own down sleeping bag -20C. as your size with liner.

 

The age doesn’t make any difference for this trek, between 17 to 70 years, anyone can do this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. If someone is seriously injured or sick, the only option is to be rescued by Helicopter if the weather is good. The Rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, available we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

We will inform you all the details about this peak climbing and trekking, before starting from Kathmandu, there will be one porter between two trekkers to carry 20 to 25 kg. luggage, one experienced climbing guide for the group, he will suggest you about the trekking routes, peak climbing routes, meals, and accommodation.

Daily Itinerary:

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, welcome and drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.

After breakfast at hotel, your guide will pick you up, drive to airport about 35 minutes morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m.) from airplane you can get excellent view of Jugal Himal range, Gauri Shanker, Dudh Kunda and Kwangde. Lunch at Lukla, meet with the porters, after lunch trek about two hours to Ghat village if the flight is on time, in case late flight because of weather or other problem overnight stay at Lukla Hotel.

After breakfast, an easy trek lunch at Benker, trek continue check National park entry pass, accommodation at Jorsalle village.   4 to 5 hours trek.

After breakfast, an easy trek to Larcha Dhoban, cross the suspension bridge gradually climb up to Namche, Pack lunch at Thoop Danda, from this place you can see the first view of Mt. Everest. Hotel or lodge accommodation at Namche Bazaar.   6 to 7 hours trek.

At Namche bazaar, there are several hotels and lodges available. Your guide will find a good accommodation for your two-night stay at Namche. There are many trekkers shops, ATM and good Wi-Fi service.

Rest for high acclimatization visit Namche Sherpa villages, monastery and national park museum overnight same place. From outside the national park museum you can see a spectacular view of Khumbu Himalaya.

After breakfast, an easy trek lunch at Sanasa after a short rest, an easy trek to Phungi Tenga, cross the Dudh koshi river bridge, gradually climb to Thyangboche monastery for overnight lodge or hotel accommodation.

There are several hotels and lodges your guide will choose a good one for your accommodation. From Thyangboche you can see a spectacular view of Himalaya.   5 to 6 hours trek.

After breakfast, visit the monastery, trek to Pangboche for lunch, visit Pangboche monastery, which is the oldest monastery at Khumbu region.After lunch trek continue to Dingboche for overnight accommodation.

There are several hotels and lodges available. Your guide will choose a good accommodation for you at Dingboche. From here you can see very beautiful Himalayan panoramic views of Lhotse south face, Ama Dablam and Chhukung valley.

After breakfast, trek to Chhukung for lunch and overnight accommodation together at the lodge. After lunch just rest and relax.    3 to 4 hours trek.

Today you can take a pack lunch (picnic) explore to Chhukung Ri, for the views and high acclimatize. After the views and picnic back to the same lodge at Chhukung.

After breakfast, gradually climb to Island peak’s base camp for overnight tented camp. There is no more tea house, your guide will cook for you.    3 to 4 hours trek.

Your guides will give detailed information about climbing, he will demonstrate how to use crampons, rope, Ascender, how to ascend and descend. Today you have to take an early dinner and bed, because tomorrow you need to wake up early, the guide will inform you.

Early morning wake up, cup of hot coffee or tea, take your head touch light, start to climb Island peak, your guide will fix the ropes as necessary, he will lead the way you just need to follow him ascending th through the ridge, really steep you need fix ropes for ascend and descend. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to summit. From the summit you can see the view of Mt. Everest summit, Makalu, giant view of Lhotse south face, Nuptse summit, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Baruntse, Chamlang, Ama Labtsa pass and Chhukung valley. Pack lunch at summit with beautiful Himalayan panoramic views, descend to base camp, take some hot drinks and soup, descend to Chhukung for overnight lodge accommodation.    7 to 8 hours summit and back.

Descending is more difficult than ascending, because you feel tired, very slippery snow !! always keep the rope fixed with your climbing harness.

After breakfast, same way back to Dingboche, take cup of tea, trek continue to Thukla for lunch, after lunch gradually ascend to Labuche for overnight lodge or hotel accommodation.   7 to 8 hours trek.

Early breakfast, trek through Khumbu glacier to Gorakshap, stop for hot tea or soup. Reservation the room for night, put your luggage at room. Gradually ascend to Kalapatter 5,545m. for best view of Mt. Everest. From Kalapatter you can get a spectacular view of Pumori, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawuche, Makalu, Everest Base camp at Khumbu glacier and many Himalayan peaks. After panoramic views descend to Gorakshap for lunch and overnight accommodation.    7 to 8 hours trek.

After breakfast, same way back to Labuche, lunch at Thukla trek continue overnight lodge or hotel accommodation at Pheriche. There are several hotels and lodges.   7 to 8 hours trek.

After breakfast, trek continue to Pangboche village for lunch, descend to the river cross the bridge ascend to Thyangboche for overnight lodge or hotel accommodation.   5 to 6 hours trek.

After breakfast, descend to Phunki tenga, trek continue to Khumjung village for lunch and overnight stay together, after lunch visit the Everest view hotel (highest elevation’s hotel in the world) and back to Khumjung.   3 to 4 hours trek.

After breakfast, visit the Khumjung monastery, Khunde hospital, trek through Syangboche airport lunch at Tamo village overnight lodge or hotel accommodation at Thame.   6 to 7 hours trek.

Visit Thame monastery, same way back to Namche for lunch, after short rest gradually descend to Dudh Kosi river, cross the suspension bridge, an easy trek to Monjo village for overnight accommodation.   5 to 6 hours trek.

After breakfast, trek to Choplung for lunch, after lunch trek continue to Lukla for overnight hotel accommodation.   4 to 5 hours trek.

After dinner Tips for trekking staff, peak summit and trek successful gathering parties with staff and team members.   Complete the trek.

After breakfast, 35 minutes flight to Kathmandu with your guide, a vehicle waiting for you, drive to the hotel, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Lunch and dinner as you choose at any restaurant.

After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at the hotel, a short drive to Swayambhu, which is the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, built 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see a very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhoudha there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.

After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport flight back to your destination.   Complete the trip
