Everyone known Nepal, is the land of Himalayan. There are 27 trekking peaks are open for climbing. To climb the trekking peaks each foreigner, need to pay a certain amount as royalty for Nepal Mountaineering Association (N.M.A.) any one can climb the trekking peaks during one-month period above the base camp, permission may be extended, if necessary, for two weeks in same royalty. Each climbing group maximum15 persons in a team.
Many trekking peaks region, there is teahouse and lodges are available for the accommodation below the base camp. At the base camp and high camp, you need tents and light trekking equipment for couple days, which we will provide.
The trekking peaks permit fees up to season and peaks. Any trekking peaks climbing without a guide is not possible through our agency. Each climbing team needs to deposit US$ 250/- for garbage. which is refundable after the team shows evidence of clearance by the amount of rubbish collected. During the climbing period you need different climbing gears. We suggest you, bring your own climbing gears along with you. If don’t you can hire from our company.
Before you start your trekking peak climbing, you need to know few important notices as following for your information and suggestion. Which is really important for those who travel Nepal first time.
Trekking peak climbing season: The best time for climbing peaks is February to May and September to November. Monsoon season June to August heavily raining, high liable of rivers may block the trekking trails. Winter season December to January heavy snow fall, cold temperature below zero, high passes trekking trails may block. Recent years global warming changes the Himalayan climate, glacier and nature.
Entry Visa for Nepal: All foreign other than Indian citizens, are required to obtain a tourist visa to enter in Nepal. We suggest you; online tourist visa apply from your home country or (neighbouring country) through Nepal embassy or consular.
If you don't have visa, you can apply arrival visa at Kathmandu international airport or any entry point from India or Tibet border Nepalese immigration. For arrival visa you need to fill up a visa application form with a passport size photo graph, minimum six months valid passport and visa fees. You have to wait on queue if there are many other tourists. After the visa process with in short period immigration will issue your tourist visa for entry in Nepal.
Flight and transportation: Flight to Nepal, there are several direct and connecting flight from all over the world to Kathmandu, Tribhuvan international airport (KTM) Nepal. The flight tickets you can book through your travel agent or booking direct online. If you want enter Nepal from India or Tibet border, there are direct transport services.
Accommodation: There are several small hotels, tea houses and lodges with good facilities, comfortable accommodation with dining area for meals and relaxing, with warm fire at Mt. Everest Khumbu and Manang region, before base camp. At the base camp and high camp, we will provide light camping equipment and foods during your peak climbing period.
Your climbing guide and porters will fix the tents.We suggest you bring your own down sleeping bag with inner liner, sometimes the hotel or lodge’s blankets are not warm enough and not clean. During the trekking period, your trekking guide will check and decide a good accommodation for overnight as your choice. Some tea houses, lodges, provide wi-fi service and charging devices are available at the dining hall which you may need to pay an extra certain amount sometime. Teahouses in the Mt. Everest Khumbu region have better internet connections (especially in Namche Bazaar)
Daily Meals: Main Nepali dish Dal Bhat Tarkari (boiled rice, vegetable, lentil with hot pickle) you will get at every tea houses. Each restaurant, you will get vegetarian or non veg. dishes, different kinds of breakfast set, lunch and dinner as chapati, Tibetan breads, momos, Stew, pasta, noodles, pizza, several items of fresh vegetables, potatoes, meats, eggs, soups, hot and cold drinks, which you can check at menu. Your guide will always check before your order what is fresh and available.
At the base camp and high camp your climbing guide and porters will prefer daily meals for you, during the climbing period.
Insurance and rescue: Nobody knowable when and where any one sick or injured. If you are seriously injured or sick drive to nearest clinic or hospital it takes long time. The easy and fast service by helicopter rescue service from Pokhara or Kathmandu. Which is really expensive, we suggest you, please issue a travel insurance policy from your home country or at Kathmandu.
Climbing guide and porters: Any trekking peaks climbing without a guide is not possible through our agency. We provide an experience and registered climbing guide. Some trekking peaks, where not available any teahouse and lodges, we arrange camping trek with cook and kitchen boys to prefer daily meals. All the necessary camping equipment and human porters, mules(horses) or yaks to carry the luggage.
Climbing Gears: 2 Non-locking carabiners 1 pcs, 2 D-Shaped locking carabiners 1 pcs, Steel Crampons 1 pair, Alpine climbing harness 1 pcs, mountaineering boots with high altitude liners 1 pair, Ice axe 1 pcs, Ski pools 1 pair, Ascender 1 pcs, climbing helmet 1 pcs, Snow Glass 1 pcs, Snow gloves 1 pair, Expedition style gaiters (ensure fit over your boots) 1 pair, Sleeping Bag ( -20 degree Celsius) 1 pcs with inner set.
Trekking equipment check list: Trekking boots, light shoes / trainers, down or fibre pile jacket, fleece or sweater, shirts (x 2), long and short trekking trousers (and /or long skirt for women), waterproof poncho or umbrella, sun hat, woollen hat, gloves, socks (x 3), underwear.
Other essential items: Kitbag and padlock, small rucksack, down sleeping bag (4 seasons +) with inner liner, water bottle (1 litre capacity), head torch, personal first aid, sun and snow glasses/goggles, sun cream (factor 15+) & lip slave, towel & wash kit, whistle, passport, passport-size photographs, plastic bags, money belt.
Optional: Camera (with high-capacity memory cards and extra batteries), trekking poles / walking sticks, binoculars, notebook, pen etc.
Bank and cash: At the city there are several Banks, where you can change any foreign currency convert in local Nepali currency Rupees. Also, there are different ATM services, where you can use your Bank debit or credit cards for cash. At the mountain region all these service and facilities not available, you need to take cash local currency for your daily expenses.
We recommend this trek for those who are physically fit and healthy for trekking at Himalayan region, everyone man and woman age between 18 to 70 years old can join this trek without any hesitate.
