Rara is the biggest lake of Nepal, which is situated 3,010m. above sea, at western Nepal. To reach Rara there are two options by flight or road. Driving from Kathmandu to Surket, from Surket to Rara road condition is really dangerous and takes a long time. We suggest all the trekkers, Kathmandu to Nepalgunj afternoon flight, one-night stay at Nepalgunj, next morning flight from Nepalgunj to Rara Talcha airport. This is one of the less tourist areas, only camping trek is possible, there are few lodges at rara, which are not comfortable for trekkers.
The age doesn’t make any difference for this short trek, from 17 to 70 years, anyone can do this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. After Rara descends to Karnali river, trek through several villages. Between Tal lekh (Gatte Khola) to Lumsa for three days, there are not any villages. The trek will be very quiet and has a real natural atmosphere. Trek will start from Rara Talcha airport ending at Jumla airport.
For this trek we provide two men sharing a double tent or single supplement, with a double mattress. dining tent with table and stools, kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, toilet tent, shower tent, an experienced trekking guide, cook, Kitchen boys, Sherpa helper and mule’s porters, meals (breakfast + lunch + dinner) and hot drinks. We suggest every trekker bring your own sleeping bag, because of your size.
This trek is recommended to see the real nature, mountains, remote villages and wildlife animals at Bardia national park, where you can see the wild Tiger, Elephant, one horn Rhino, spot deer, wild boar and many beautiful wild birds. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the stars hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.
After lunch, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive to the airport for about a 45 minutes afternoon flight to Nepalgunj. Hotel’s vehicle is waiting for you, a short drive to the stars hotel, welcome drinks at the reception check in room, Nepali set dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
After breakfast, drive to the airport for a 35 minutes morning flight to Talcha airport Rara. Lunch at airport, meet with the trekking staff your first day trek start, climb half hours to army check post, trek continue through pine forest overnight a beautiful tented camp at Rara lake side. 3 to 4 hours.
After breakfast, about one-hour easy trek, gradual descend to Karnali river for lunch, trek continue to Lumsa village for overnight tented camp. From lunch place trekking route for Mugu will join. 6 to 7 hours trek.
After breakfast, gradually climb trek through village, lunch at the river side, trek continue overnight tented camp at Gatte khola. 5 to 6 hours trek.
From today there will be no more village for three days very quiet. After breakfast easy trek lunch at kharka, trek continues below pass for overnight tented camp. 5 to 6 hours trek
After breakfast, climb to a small pass. From the pass you can see the view of Kanjirowa main, hanging glacier and Patarasi Himalayan peaks. Today you have to take a packed lunch (picnic) because there is no water at the lunch site. After packing lunch lunch trek through grassy land, descend to Naurighat river for overnight camp site. 6 to 7 hours trek.
After breakfast, cross the river and trek through a pine forest for lunch at Mandara a beautiful place. After lunch, an easy trek to Luma before the village. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, easy trek through Chauda bisea lunch at Urtha after lunch about one-hour raff drive to Jumla, overnight hotel accommodation at Jumla airport. 4 to 5 hours trek.
After dinner Tips for trekking staff, trek successful gathering party with staff and team members. Tomorrow early morning staff will drive back to Kathmandu. Complete the trek.
After breakfast, 35 minutes flight from Jumla to Nepaljunj with your guide, jungle safari vehicle waiting for you at the airport. From Nepalgunj airport 95km. drive to Bardia national park. Welcome drinks at reception check in jungle lodge room, after lunch at lodge afternoon jungle safari.
After breakfast at jungle lodge, elephant riding jungle safari and other programs at jungle lodge.
After lunch drive to Nepalgunj airport, afternoon flight to Kathmandu with guide, vehicle waiting for you at Kathmandu airport, drive to hotel welcome drinks at reception check in room. Dinner as your choice at any restaurant.
After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at the hotel, a short drive to Swyambhu nath, which is the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see a very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to the hotel.
