Dudh Kunda Pikey is one of the less touristy areas, with beautiful views in the Solu region. There are different trekking routes to reach at Pikey. I like to choose this route, which is easy and has more views than other routes. I know this because I came from this region, one way to go another way to return back. For this trek drive from Kathmandu to Bhander. The trek will start from Bhandar village.
The age doesn’t make any difference for this short trek, from 17 to 70 years, anyone can do this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. During this trek you can see an excellent Himalayas view of Gauri Shankar, Rolwaling Himalaya, Numbur-Karyolung, Mt. Everest, Kumbu Himalayan range and Makalu as well. Also you can visit Ngaour Ani Gomba, Junbesi, Sealo, Thupten Chholing and Taksindu monasteries, different Sherpa village, Bhandar, Goli, Gyapchu,Taktor, Junbesi, Mopung, Ringmo, Fera, Chiwang and Phaplu. This starts from Bhandar ending at Phaplu airport.
There are few lodges in this region but it is not comfortable for the trekkers. For this trek, we provide two man sharing double tent or single supplement with double mattress, dining tent with table and stools, kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, toilet tent, shower tent, an experienced trekking guide, cook, Kitchen boys,
Sherpa helper and porters, meals (breakfast + lunch + dinner) and hot drinks. We suggest every trekker bring your own sleeping bag, because of your size.

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive with trekking staff by private vehicle for about 5 to 6 hours to Bhandar Sotarmu village. Lunch stops on the way at a good place. Overnight tented camp at Bhandar, which is a beautiful village with nice views of mountains and villages.
After breakfast, descend to Likhu khola, cross the bridge gradually ascend, stop for lunch, after lunch trek continue through several small villages to Goli Sherpa village for overnight tented camp. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, an easy climb along the mountain ridge to Ngour for lunch and camp together. There is an Ani monastery (nunnery) from Ngour you can see very nice views of mountains, valleys and villages. 3 to 4 hours trek.
After breakfast, gradually ascend to Pike Kharka. Nowadays there are some tea houses too but not comfortable for trekkers. overnight tented camp at Pikey Kharka, good campsite with beautiful views. 4 to 5 hours trek. During summer time you can see many yaks, Sheeps and cows around Pikey. Each year a fest is held at Pikey, which is called Yarjang. Many people gather for this fest from Goli Gyapchu and other villages.
Early morning climb to Pikey Lhasa for the sunrise view, from Pikey Lhasa 4,065m. you can see spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Karyalung, Numbur, Gauri shanker and some other Himalayan and mountain views. Back to camp for lunch, after lunch an easy trek to Phambuk kharka, a beautiful campsite. 3 to 4 hours trek.
After breakfast, a gradual descent through the jungle to Taktor village, the old trekking route for Everest expedition, joined here at Taktor village. Stop for tea at this village, trek continue to Sealo monastery for lunch, visit the monastery trek onward through Mapung village to Thupten Chholing for overnight camp. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, visit the monastery, gradual climb Tosha. Today you have to take a packed lunch (picnic) because of the water at the lunch site. Overnight a beautiful campsite bank of Dudh Kunda river at Beni. 6 to 7 hours trek.
After breakfast, start the trek. Now you are above 4,000m. you will feel very dry and thin air, you have to walk slowly, packed lunch (picnic) on the way, overnight at a beautiful camp at Dudh kunda. From the camp site you can get a giant, spectacular view of Karyalung and Numbur Himalaya. 2 to 3 hours trek.
After breakfast, explore around the lake and glacier back to camp for lunch. Afternoon back to Beni for overnight camping. 2 hours trek.
After breakfast, an easy trek through rhododendron and pine forest lunch on the way at Kami kharka overnight camp at Taksindu monastery. Good campsite with beautiful views of mountains and valleys. The old route for Mt. Everest expedition join here at Taksindu. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, trek through Ringmo village, lunch at Feara village, overnight hotel accommodation at Phaplu airport.
After dinner Tips for trekking staff, trek successful gathering party with staff and team members. Tomorrow early morning trekking staff will drive back to Kathmandu. Complete the trek.
After breakfast, about a 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu with your guide, vehicle waiting for you at Kathmandu airport, drive to hotel, welcome drinks at reception check in room. Lunch and dinner as your choice. Afternoon take your time.
After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at a hotel, a short drive to Swyambhu nath, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see a very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch, drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to the hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight time to the airport flight back to your destination. Complete the trip.
