Chulu west 6,419m. peak situated between Nar khola and Manang Marshyangdi valley at the Manang region. To reach this peak, you have to follow the Annapurna circuit trekking routes from Chame to Yak Kharka Manang. This peak is more difficult than other trekking peaks. You need main ropes and fix ropes both, after high camp there are several crevasses. Your climbing guide will fix all the necessary ropes. Very narrow space at the summit, not many people can stay together once at the summit.

For this trek you can drive to Manang village, but it is necessary to acclimate well before climbing the peak. Starting the trek from Chame bazaar through Pisang village, Humde airport, Braga village, Manang village, Yak Kharka, base camp, high camp to summit and trek to Thorong pass, Mukti Nath ends at Jomsom airport.

There are several Tourist standard hotels, lodges and restaurants at this trekking route. Which makes it easy for this peak climbing and trekking. You need to use a tent accommodation only for two nights at the base camp and high camp. We suggest every trekker bring their own down sleeping bag -20C. as your size with liner.

The age doesn’t make any difference for this trek, between 17 to 70 years, anyone can do this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. If someone is seriously injured or sick,only the option is to be rescued by a Helicopter

 

if the weather is good. The rescue is quite expensive, everyone needs to buy travel insurance from their own country. If not, we will help. You can buy such insurance policies in Kathmandu too.

We will inform you all the details about this peak climbing and trekking, before starting from Kathmandu, there will be one porter between two trekkers to carry 20 to 25 kg. luggage, one experienced climbing guide for a group, he will suggest you about the trekking routes, peak climbing routes, meals, and accommodation.

Daily Itinerary:

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the star hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about peak climbing, trekking and other necessary information.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, drive with your guide and porters from Kathmandu to Beshi shahar by private vehicle, change another reserve jeep to Chame. Overnight accommodation at the hotel or lodge at Chame.   7 to 8 hours drive.

After breakfast, start your first day trek, cross the Marshyangdi river’s bridge, lunch at Brathang, trek continue through a beautiful apple garden and pine forest, a short climb to a small pass, an easy trek to Pisang village for overnight accommodation. There are several hotels and lodges, your guide will check where you can stay.    5 to 6 hours trek.

Now you are above 3,000m. heigh, you feel very dry and thin air, you need to walk slowly step by step. After breakfast an easy trek to Humde airport for lunch, cross the bridge at Marsyangdi river, trek continue to Braga village for overnight accommodation at lodge or hotel.   5 to 6 hours trek.

After breakfast, trek to Manang village for lunch and night accommodation together. There are several tourist standard hotels and lodges at Manang. Your guide will check a good accommodation for your two-night staying at Manang.    2 to 3 hours trek.

Rest for high acclimatization, after breakfast, explore the lake and glacier next to Manang village, back for lunch, afternoon free day just relax or take a hot shower.

After breakfast, an easy trek to Yak kharka for lunch and night accommodation together at a lodge.    3 to 4 hours trek.

After breakfast, gradually climb through a grassy path to the base camp for overnight tented camping, a very nice campsite with running water and a beautiful Himalayan view. Your guide and porters will cook the meals for you.    4 to 5 hours trek.

Check your climbing equipment. Your guides will give detailed information about climbing, he will demonstrate how to use crampons, rope, Ascender how to ascend and descend.

After lunch, climb through loose rocks to high camp in the snow. You may need to fix ropes at one part. Put the tent at high camp, a very beautiful campsite in the snow. At high camp there are several crevasses, you need to take care.

Today you have to take early dinner and bed, because tomorrow you need to wake up early in the morning, your guide will inform you.

Wake up early in the morning, take a cup of coffee or tea, take your head torch light, start to climb, you may need main rope and ice axe at snow, your guide will fix the ropes to the summit 4 to 5 hours, from the summit you can see a spectacular view of Pisang peak, Khangkaru, chulu west, Tilicho peak, Annapurna II, III.IV, Gangapurna, Glacier doom, Lamjung, and Marshyangdi Manang valley. At the summit there is a very narrow space, once a time not many people can stay at the summit. After panoramic views descend to high camp, take some lunch with soup and hot drinks. Descend to the base camp for overnight tented camping.    7 to 8 hours.

Descending is more dangerous than ascending, because you feel tired, very slippery snow !! always keep the rope with your climbing harness.

After breakfast, descend to Yak kharka for tea stop, easy trek to Thorong phedi for lunch and overnight accommodation at the lodge.    4 to5 hours trek. At Thorong phedi sometimes the lodge is completely packed with trekkers, your guide needs to go before reserving the room during the busy season.

Early morning after breakfast, gradually ascend to Thorong pass 5,416m. near pass there is a small tea shop, where you can take some hot drinks and something to eat, from the pass you can see another view of Yak Kawa peak, Throng peak, Dhaulagiri I, II, III, putla hiun chuli, Tukuche peak, Dhampus peak, Kaligandaki valley and Mustang region. After the panoramic views gradually descend to Phedi, tea break at a tea shop, trek continues to Muktinath.    7 to 8 hours trek.

After breakfast, if you are interested, you can visit MuktiNath Temple and monastery if not just relax in the room. After lunch, descend to Kagbeni village. From Kagbeni you can see the view of Nilgiri and Annapurna.    3 to 4 hours trek.

After breakfast, an easy trek to Ekle Bhatti stop for hot drinks and something to eat. The trek continues to Jomsom. In this region after 12:00 noon it is very windy, so better trek in the morning. Hotel accommodation at Jomsom airport.    3 to 4 hours trek.

After dinner Tips for trekking staff, trek successful gathering parties with staff and team members. Tomorrow early morning the crew will drive back to Kathmandu.   Complete the trek.

After breakfast, 28 minutes morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara with your guide. During the short flight, you can see a very clear view of Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Kaligandaki valley and Pokhara city. At Pokhara airport hotel’s vehicle waiting for you, drive to a star hotel at the Lake side as your booking, welcome drinks at the reception check in room, lunch and dinner as you chose at Fewa lake side.

After breakfast, one-hour boating at Fewa lake, back to the lake side for lunch. Afternoon sightseeing at Davis fall, Tibetan refugee camp and peace stupa, back to the hotel.

After breakfast, 200 km. drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu with your guide, lunch on the way, at Kathmandu welcome drinks at the reception check in room, dinner as you choose at any restaurant.

After breakfast, city guide will pick you up at the hotel, a short drive to Swayambhu, which is the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, built 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offer butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see clear views of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhoudha there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening out representatives will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner, back to the hotel.

After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport flight back to your destination.   Complete the trip.
