Tibet the autonomous region of China is a holy land for the Tibetan Buddhism. Tibet is the main land for Vajrayana Buddhist religion and culture. In the 7th century Tibetan King Songtsen Gompo’s queen Bhrikuti princess of Nepal, played main role to established Buddhism in Tibet. There are several Vajrayana Buddhist monasteries at Lhasa region.
In Buddhism there are three major groups: Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana. In the Vajrayana Tibet Buddhism, there are four different groups Buddhist religion’s Schools (Monasteries) in Tibet. Ningma, Gyaluk (yellow hat) Kagyu and Sakya. These all-religious monasteries you can visit during the trip at central Tibet Lhasa region.
Lhasa is the capital city in Tibet, which is situated 3,650m. above sea level. Potala is the highest elevation’s palace in the world, which is known as the roof of the world. Potala palace was built by King Songtsen Gampo, later rebuilt by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th Century. The palace is 130 m. above Lhasa city. The palace is built with three meters thick stone walls, 13 floors and more than 1000 different rooms. Today you can visit Potala as a state museum. Paying the entrance ticket, every tourist and pilgrimage can visit as official time. The palace will be closed on Sunday and government holidays in Tibet.
This trip will be start from Lhasa Gongkar airport, travel different places at Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, Sakya, Za Rongbuk, Everest base camp to Kerung Nepal / Tibet border, trip will be ending at Kathmandu, Nepal, as itinerary.
After Tibet trip, your Tibet guide and vehicle will back to Lhasa from border, at Nepal border our representative and vehicle waiting for you. Drive to Kathmandu, check-in hotel as your booking. At Kathmandu we provide two days sightseeing as itinerary.

Visa and travel permit: Travelling to centre Tibet / Everest base camp region it is important to issue Chinese visa from your own or neighbours’ country through Chinese embassy or consulate. Without visa all foreigners are not allow entry in Tibet from any border or airport.
You need a group visa Travel to Tibet. In one group require minimum four persons. For the Tibet group visa and permit we need a photocopy of your current passport (valid minimum 6 months) and white background, passport size photograph by email, at least one months before your trip to Tibet. After your arrival at Kathmandu, we require your original passport to collect the permit and group visa from Chinese embassy.
If your entry from mainland of China to Tibet by flight or train, our Tibet agent will send you your group visa details by e-mail, which you need to show at the airport or train before your departure to Tibet.
Transport service at Tibet: Our Lhasa agent will provide comfortable tourist standard vehicles, Jeep for small groups, van for middle group and Bus for big groups.
Hotel accommodation: During the trip we provide three-star hotel accommodation attach bathroom, twin sharing basic with bed and breakfast.
Daily meals: Each day we provide fixed or choice menu lunch and dinner at tourist standard restaurant at different places as itinerary.
Best time and weather: Travel at centre Tibet and Everest base camp the best time is May to November. Only at Lhasa region around the year will be possible. December to April high passes and Everest base camp motor road may block heavy snowfall. Tibet is dry region, normally the weather will be clear for the Himalayan views.
The age doesn’t make any difference for this trek, between 12 to 70 years, any one can join this trip if you are physically fit and healthy without any hesitate.
Rescue and Insurance: Nobody known when and where any one sick or injured. If you are seriously injured or sick, at this region there are hospital service at major cities. We suggest you, issue a travel insurance policy from your home country for the rescue and travel.

Arrival at Lhasa (roof of the world) by train from major cities of China or trans Himalayan flight, upon your arrival at Lhasa, Gongkar airport or Lhasa railway station as your arrival time, our Tibet agent’s guide will welcome you with Tibetan tradition Khatak. Drive to hotel as your booking at Lhasa. Welcome drinks at the reception check-in the rooms. Buffet dinner at your hotel’s restaurant. Your tour guide will brief you about tours and other necessary information about Tibet.
After breakfast at hotel, visit Tibet’s most sacred Jokang monastery, located at the heart of the ancient town of Lhasa, it was built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo’s queen Bhrikuti princess of Nepal. The monastery is 3 stories high, inside the monastery at ground floor you can see most sacred beautiful golden statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. It has around 70 monks nowadays.
After Jokang walk to visit another sacred Ramuche Cho. Lunch near Potala palace. After lunch visit Potala palace. Potala palace was built by king Songtsen Gampo 637 B. C. after rebuild by 5th Dalai lama on 17th century. The palace is 130 m. above Lhasa city. The palace builds by three meters thick stones walls, 13 floors more then 1000 different rooms with two different colours. The White Palace mainly used for government administration, the red palace was mainly used for religious functions and still has numerous chapels, including those containing reliquary stupas of the successive Dalai Lamas which are richly decorated in gold, silver and semi-precious stones. Today you can visit Potala palace as a state museum. Paying the enter ticket, every tourist and pilgrimage can visit as official time, the palace will close Sunday and government holidays at Tibet.
Afternoon sightseeing at ancient Bhakor street market. Dinner at Tibetan restaurant at Bhakor, back to the same hotel.
After breakfast ,7 km. drive to Drepung monastery which takes about 15 minutes. Drepung is the largest monastery in Tibet, built in the 15th century by Jamyang Choeje, one of Tsongkapa’s disciple. The monastery located up in a hill. There are four main colleges with numerous small chapels and house chapels, which known as Khangtsen in Tibetan. Nowadays there are around six hundred monks at this monastery. Near Drepung there is a sacred Neachung Lhamu monastery which you can visit as same time.
After visit Drepung drive to Norbu Linka summer palace. Norbu Linka is the first summer Palace which was founded by the 7th Dalai Lama in 18th century. Nowadays there are few monks who look after the summer palace. Lunch at Norbulinka.
After visit Norbulinka summer palace drive to sera monastery. Sera monastery was founded in around 15th century by Jamchen Choeje who is another famous disciple of Tsongka pa, which is the second largest monastery in Tibet. There are three colleges with numerous chapels and house chapels. The most attraction to visit this monastery is to see the monk’s debating which hold from 3:00 to 5:00 Pm. Monday to Saturday.
After visit Sera and monk’s debating drive back to hotel, buffet dinner at hotel’s restaurant.
After breakfast at your hotel, about 60 km. drive along the Lhasa River beautiful Tibetan villages, the monastery situated at the mountain. Ganden is the six biggest Gelukpa monasteries and it is the mother monastery of the yellow hat school. Where you can see the golden seat of Dalai lama. From Ganden you can see beautiful view of valley and mountains.
After visit Ganden monastery drive back to Tshurphu H.H. Karmapa’s monastery which is 70 km. away from Lhasa. Lunch at Ganden or Tshurphu your guide will decide and inform you. The 1st Karmapa Dusum Khyenpa founded the Tshurphu Monastery in 1189, which became the main residence of the Karma Kagyu school. Buddha statue in side Tshurphu monastery is the largest one-piece statue in Tibet.
After visit Tshurphu monastery drive back to hotel at Lhasa, dinner near Potala palace at Chinese restaurant.
After breakfast check out the room, drive about 268km. from Lhasa to Gyantse town, which is the nearest border (Natula pass) with India Sikkim. You will drive through high pass Kamba la, Karo la and Simila la. You can see beautiful holy lake Yamdork Tso, which is known as Turquois Lake in Tibet. Lunch stops at Yamdork. Drive onward to Gyantse, visit Palkhor monastery and Kubum Stupa. Which is built in 15th century by Rabten Kunsang and first Penchen Lama. After visit the monastery and stupa drive about 90 km. to Shigatse.
Shigatse is the second largest city at Tibet, which is the home of H.H. Banchen Lama. En- route visit Shalu monstery if you are interested. Drive to stars hotel as your booking check in room after short rest visit Tashilumpo monastery the seat of Benchen Lama. Tashilonpo Monastery which was built in 1447 by first Dalai Lama. After visit the monastery back to hotel for buffet dinner.
After breakfast at hotel, check out the room, drive about 127km. from Shigatse to Sakya monastery via Lhatse, this is the main monastery of H.H. Sakya Trizin Rimpoche (now days at Dheradoon Utter Khanda, India). The monastery which is very famous and old monastery at this region. There are a lot of historical articles in the monastery, among them are found a lot of the imperial certificates, gold signets, crowns, over 10,000 volumes of Tibetan books on astronomy, medicine, calligraphy, and history. Inside the monastery you can see several old Buddhist texts, huge juniper tree’s pillars and many other.
After lunch at Sakya, same road drive back to Lhatse. After Lhatse there are two different roads one for Mt. Kailash Manasarowar lake and another for Mt. Everest base camp and Kodari Nepal border.
From Lau Tingri you can see the first view of Mt. Everest, check in room as your booking for two nights, buffet dinner at your hotel at Tingri.
At Zha Rongbuk accommodation is not so good, we suggest you day explore at Everest base camp and back to Tingri for night accommodation.
After breakfast drive about 70 km. from Tingri to Everest base camp, before base camp you can visit Zha Rongbuk monastery, which is the highest elevation monastery in Tibet. There are few Tea shops and lodges where you can enjoy your lunch with Everest view.
If you feel good you can explore the base camp, if not just look around and rest at Zha Rongbuck. After lunch derive back for overnight accommodation at Tingri.
From Zha Rongbuck there is a trail between Nepal and Tibet, in summer many Tibetans people bringing Chinese goods by yaks for sell at Namche bazaar Khumbu region.
After breakfast check out the room, drive from Tingri to Kerung about 260 km. after old Tingri follow friendship high way pass through Piku Tso. Today you can a spectacular view of Sisapangma and other Tiber Himalayan peaks. After lunch at Piku Tso, drive continue to Kerung town, check in hotel as your booking. After breakfast check out room, drive 27km. to border. Check out Tibet visa and custom at Chinese post, cross the friendship bridge. Our vehicle and representative will be waiting for you, drive to check in Nepal immigration and custom formalities, After lunch at border 150km. drive to Kathmandu. Afternoon you will arrive at Kathmandu, stars hotel as your booking, welcome drinks at reception check in room. Dinner as you choose at any restaurant.
Early morning after cup of coffee drive to airport for one hours Mountain flight to Mt. Everest region. After mountain flight 12 km. drive to Bhaktapur Durbar square for breakfast. Bhaktapur is the third major city in Kathmandu valley which is established between 14th - 15th century listed on UNESCO world heritage site. At Bhaktapur you can visit Durbar square (place) and several temples.
After Bhaktapur sightseeing drive to Patan which is second major city in Kathmandu, listed in UNESCO world heritage Neawari culture and architecture. There are several Buddhist and Hindu temple to visit. After lunch at Patan drive back to Kathmandu at your hotel for rest. Dinner at Chinese restaurant as your choice menu.
Your city guide will tell you all the details about the monument of Bhaktapur and Patan.
After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at hotel for sightseeing at world heritage list by UNESCO at different places. Sightseeing tours beginning short drive to Swyambhu nath stupa, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,000 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps for your good Karma and future for all. From Swyambhu you can see very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, which is biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 1500 years ago. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries, you will visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Your city guide will tell you all the details about the monument of different Stupas, temples and palace.
Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to hotel.
After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight schedule to the airport flight back to your destination. Complete the trip
