🛂 Important Pre-Trip Information:

How to Reach Nepal:

By Air (Flight): Direct and connecting flights operate to Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) from major cities worldwide. Tickets can be booked via travel agents or online.

By Road: If entering Nepal from India or Tibet, direct transport services are available, or we can provide a private vehicle as needed.

Tourist Visa for Nepal: Foreign nationals (except Indian citizens) require a tourist visa to enter Nepal by air or road.

Pre-Arranged Visa: Apply online through the nearest Nepalese Embassy or Consulate.

Visa on Arrival: Available at Kathmandu International Airport or official land borders. Requirements include:

Note: Expect queues during peak travel seasons.

Permits and other fees: For short treks, trekking permits are generally not required for these routes except Mustang tours.

Mandatory Documentation: You will only need a National Park or Conservation Area entry permit and a TIMS card (Trekkers' Information Management System). We will handle the arrangement of these for you.

Local Government Fees: Any region-specific local government fees will be managed and arranged by your guide on the spot.

Banking and Cash Facilities:
Currency Exchange: In major cities (like Kathmandu and Pokhara), there are numerous banks and authorized money changers where you can exchange foreign currency into Nepalese Rupees (NPR).

ATM Services: ATMs are widely available in urban areas and accept most international debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

Withdrawal Limits: Most major bank ATMs allow a maximum withdrawal of NPR 35,000 per transaction. Please note that you may need to perform multiple transactions if you require more cash, subject to your own bank's daily limit.

Emergency Helicopter Evacuation: Your safety is our absolute priority. In the event of serious illness or injury, our guides are trained to respond instantly, maintaining constant communication with our Kathmandu headquarters to coordinate a rapid rescue.

We handle the details so you can focus on getting well.

Travel Insurance & Rescue: Unfortunate illness or injury can happen to anyone, anywhere. In the remote mountain regions where we trek, your safety is paramount. Because ground transport to the nearest clinic can be slow, we rely on rapid aerial response.

Helicopter Rescue from 'nearest place' Kathmandu, Lukla or Pokhara offers the fastest rescue service but is extremely expensive.

•    Action Required: We strongly advise you to issue a comprehensive travel insurance policy from your home country or in Kathmandu. Your policy must specifically cover emergency helicopter evacuation and medical expenses at high altitudes ( high depending on your trekking route).

Pro Tip: Please Always carry a digital and printed copy of your insurance certificate and the 24-hour emergency contact number for your provider.

đź“… The best Season and Weather:

Spring (March – May) Spectacular clear views and stable weather with excellent visibility. Above 3,000m, the landscape comes alive with blooming rhododendrons and vibrant wildflowers. This is one of the most popular times for trekking.

Autumn (September – November) Widely considered the best time to trek. You can expect uninterrupted, breath-taking views of the high Himalayas. The temperatures are perfect - cool enough for hiking but pleasant during the day.

Winter (December – February) Expect crisp, clean air and excellent visibility at lower elevations. Temperatures drop significantly, especially at night and in the early morning.

"If it snows, don't worry! The mountains look even more beautiful in white, and the tea houses feel even cozier with a warm cup of ginger tea by the fire."

If you are physically fit and prefer to carry your own equipment and gear, you are welcome to trek without a porter. One porter typically carries between 25 to 30 kilograms and is ideally shared between two trekkers.

Why Hire a Trekking Agent in Kathmandu? While some trekkers choose to explore the Himalayas without a guide or porters to save on costs, trekking in Nepal is vastly different from hiking in Europe or Western countries. The terrain is rugged, and conditions can change in an instant.

Safety First: In the high-altitude wilderness, unexpected challenges-from altitude sickness to unpredictable weather can arise at any moment. Without professional support, these situations can quickly become life-threatening. Only a reputable Trekking agency provides a vital safety net when you need it most.

The Service Difference: The panorama remains the same for everyone, but the quality of your experience is defined by the service you receive. By booking through a government-registered agency like us, you ensure:

•    Expert Guidance: Professional guides who know the trails, the weather patterns, and the local culture.

•    Reliable Support: Dedicated porters to handle the heavy lifting, allowing you to focus on the journey.
