How Your Journey Begins: Starting on day two, immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Nepal: the capital city of Kathmandu. You will visit world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the historic Swayambhu Stupa, the majestic Boudha Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

The Flight: To maximize your time in the mountains and avoid long drives, you will take short, scenic flights. These include a 20-to-25-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by flights from Pokhara to Jomsom and back. These flights offer a spectacular panorama of the Himalayas.

Overland Drive: Your overland journey begins at Jomsom Bazaar, where you will board a 4WD jeep. From there, you will drive to Kagbeni and Muktinath before continuing through the major villages of Chhuksang and Ghami toward Lo Manthang (alt. 3,840m.). After exploring the Tibetan border Kora La (alt. 4,600m.) you will drive back to Jomsom to catch your return flight to Pokhara.

In -route high desert driving cross two high passes Syangboche La and Nyi La, above (alt. 4,000m.) 

Relaxation in Pokhara: Following your trek, enjoy two nights in Pokhara to relax or engage in lakeside activities.

The journey continues as drive to the Trisuli River for an exhilarating white-water rafting experience, followed by a venture into the wild for a jungle safari at Chitwan National Park, but in summer season it is not possible.

Mountain Flight: Finally, return to Kathmandu for a breathtaking Mountain Flight to see Mt. Everest. During your final days, you will also explore the ancient artistry and historic architecture of the Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Squares.

About upper Mustang: Upper Mustang located at west Nepal, above Kali Gandaki valley, which is restricted area for the foreigners. The envoirment Travel at upper Mustang need a special travel permit. Mustang is the last Forbidden Kingdom behind the mountains known as Little Tibet in Nepal. The people from Mustang regions, still believe and respect their King Jigme Palbar Bista, they believe Mustang king is the generation of Empire Songtsen Gampo from Lhasa, Tibet. The landscape, local houses, farming, religion and daily life are similar as Tibet. The local name of Mustang is Lho-wa in Tibetan language.

There are twelve major villages, Lo-Manthang is the capital at upper Mustang region. Recent days officially opened the Kora La (alt. 4,660m.), border between Tibet (autonomous region of China) and Nepal, which is 20 km. from Lo- Manthang. Everyone can cross the border with valid visa and Tibet travel permit. At this region there is a holy lake Dhamodar Kunda trek from Yara - Ghar village. 

Still, you can see old tradition in their society two or more brothers in same family can married together with one wife. After pass away (dead body) sky burials offer for the vultures. Recent days many people from Mustang region stay at Kathmandu and Pokhara for the business, education and their children’s future.  

During the overland trip you can see red-rock canyons, ancient sky caves and monasteries over 2,000 years old. Mustang region is completely dry area as desert, not much raining in summer, but they can grow potatoes, wheat, buckwheat, vegetables and some fruits. Recent days the motor road drive many villages, which made easier and better life for local and travellers. At this region you can see many Yaks, Sheep and goats for the meat and horses for the transport. 

The local peoples are very cheerful and friendly respect and trust each to other. From this short tours you will feel, fresh mood and stress less life, return back to your home land with sweet and unforged memories.


 The best season and weather:

Spring (March – May): Spring season for the spectacular clear views. The stable weather brings excellent visibility. In this season rare flowers like rhododendrons and other various wildflowers are found in full blossom in their brightest colours.

Autumn (September-November): For this region Autumn has one of the spectacular, uninterrupted views of the mountains and high Himalayas. Perfect temperatures make trekking days even more enjoyable.

Winter (December-February): Winter time it is not possible overland drive or trek to upper Mustang region. Because heavy snowfall high passes routes are blocked and cold weather. But clear skies at the low elevations, the air is clean and provides excellent visibility. Temperatures drop significantly in the morning and night thus requiring warm trekking gears.

Summer (June-August): For the Mustang overland tours summer is one of the best time, but you can't join the Mountain flight, rafting and jungle safari. Other region high rainfall and lush greenery (if you don’t mind the rain) heavy raining, very poor visibility, landslides, high river levels may block the trekking trails and motor roads. It is not possible for river at Trisuli and Jungle safari at Chitwan. 

High altitude sickness and Safety:

High-altitude sickness occurs when your body can’t get enough oxygen because the lower air pressure at higher elevation above 3,000m. when you ascend too quickly during the trek. At High elevation anyone at any time can be suffering from high-altitude sickness which is common, you don’t have to be nervous but please be attention. 

Altitude Symptoms: If you feel symptoms of high- altitude (Headache, vomiting, loss your appetite, Dizziness and trouble falling asleep) stop to ascending immediately descend as possible. Eat enough garlic soup, take lots of hot drinks and rest. Next day you will feel better, if not your guide will look for another solution. 

Emergency Helicopter Evacuation: Your safety is our absolute priority. In the event of serious illness or injury, our guides are trained to act immediately. They will maintain constant communication with our Kathmandu-based agency to coordinate a rapid response.

We can arrange an emergency helicopter evacuation from any point on the trail back to Kathmandu within a few hours (weather permitting). To ensure a smooth and life-saving rescue, we require all our guests to have travel insurance that specifically covers high-altitude helicopter rescue and medical evacuation. Our team will handle all the logistics with your insurance provider and the helicopter operators so that you can focus entirely on recovery.

Travel Insurance: Unfortunate illness or injury can happen to anyone, anywhere. In the remote mountain regions where we trek, your safety is paramount. Because ground transport to the nearest clinic can be slow, we rely on rapid aerial response.

•    Helicopter Rescue from Kathmandu or Pokhara offers the fastest rescue service but is extremely expensive.

•    Action Required: We strongly advise you to issue a 'comprehensive travel insurance policy' from your home country or in Kathmandu. Your policy must specifically cover emergency helicopter evacuation and medical expenses at high altitudes (up to 5,000m.)

Pro Tip: Please Always carry a digital and printed copy of your insurance certificate and the 24-hour emergency contact number for your provider.

Practical Details and services:

Hotel Accommodations: At Kathmandu and Pokhara during the package trip, you will stay at 4-star hotel.

 • Twin Sharing: Your room will feature two separate single beds. If you are traveling as a couple and prefer a large bed, it is best to request a "Double Room" in advance, though "Twin" is the default for most tour bookings.

• Bed & Breakfast: Your stay covers a buffet breakfast each morning. Lunch and dinner are usually at your own expense.

• Amenities: You can expect air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour hot and cold  water, and usually a swimming pool or spa on-site.

Dining and Daily Meals: Kathmandu and other major cities are a paradise for food lovers, offering a wide array of restaurants that serve high-quality, diverse cuisine. You can indulge in authentic Nepalese Dal Bhat Tarkari with spicy achar or sample Tibetan staples like Momos (dumplings) and Thukpa (noodle soup).

 

For international palates: Many establishments feature expertly prepared Indian curries, Chinese stir-fry, and Continental favorites such as pasta, steaks, and wood-fired pizzas. Lodging and meals at Mustang: Local hotel or lodge accommodation at Mustang region's services and facilities are not as Kathmandu or Pokhara but the atmosphere will be much better than cities. During the overland tours at Mustang region, you will stay at local hotel or lodge accommodation with bed and breakfast services. Each day, you will get fresh lunch and dinner, veg. or non veg. as your appetite.

Clothing: For this package trip, you won’t need heavy gear because you will be traveling and trekking at low elevations. Normal clothing is perfectly fine; however, we suggest bringing a warm down jackets and pair of windproof jacket and trouser along with your regular clothes. It can be quite chilly and windy at Kaligandaki region while early morning and evening, so having an extra layer is essential.

Optional: Camera (with high-capacity memory cards and extra batteries), binoculars, notebook, pen etc.

Sleeping bag: We strongly suggest bringing your own down sleeping bag (+4 season) with an inner liner. Because hotels / lodges blankets are not always warm and clean enough to meet your personal standards. If you, doesn’t have sleeping bag you can buy or hire at Kathmandu as your size.

Professional Travel Guide: For your safety and compliance with local regulations, traveling in the Upper Mustang region without a guide is not permitted through our agency. We provide a highly experienced, government-registered guide for all our package tours to ensure a seamless and enriching experience.

Travel Permits & Requirements: Upper Mustang is a Restricted Area, and all foreign nationals require a special permit for travel or trekking. You will also need an Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) entry permit and a TIMS card (Trekkers' Information Management System). Our agency will handle all these arrangements for you. Please note that local municipality and monastery entry fees will be managed and arranged by your trekking guide on-site.

Heritage tours at Kathmandu: Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. The valley is the cultural and historical heart of Nepal. Often described as a "living museum," home to three ancient cities, Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, which were once separate kingdoms.

Thamel is the main tourist hub. It’s a maze of narrow streets filled with trekking shops, cafes, massage, and different souvenir shops.

From Seti Bagar Pokhara,  ride the Annapurna cable car, from the cable car you can see beautiful view of Fewa lake, beautiful local villages and Himalayan views, in 9 minutes you will be at Sarangkot top. From the view tower you can see spectacular view of above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu and othe several other Himalayan peaks.

Mountain Flight: One hour’s mountain flight from Kathmandu to the Everest Khumbu region is one of the most popular ways to see the "Top of the World" without the physical demand of a two-week trek. It is essentially a one-hour loop designed specifically for Himalayan panorama.

Daily Itinerary

Warm Welcome: Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, Our representative will meet you at the airport terminal with a personalized sign, handling your luggage, welcome you with colourful flowers, drive to star hotel as your booking. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will be served a refreshing welcome drink at reception while our team assists with your check-in.

First Evening & Briefing: In the evening, you can enjoy dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant. During this time, our Tour Manager will conduct a comprehensive briefing, covering your trekking itinerary, safety protocols, and any other essential information for your upcoming adventure.

Kathmandu is a living gallery of ancient history, where seven UNESCO World Heritage sites are packed within a single valley. A heritage tour here takes you through the "Three Kingdoms," sacred riverbanks, and hilltop stupas that define Nepal's spiritual and architectural legacy.

Heritage tours at Kathmandu: After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at hotel for sightseeing at world heritage list by UNESCO at different places. Heritage tours beginning short drive to Swyambhu nath stupa, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,000 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps for your good Karma and future for all. 

Swyambhu stupa: Swayambhu Mahachaitya, also known as the "Monkey Temple," sits on a hill overlooking the valley. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of Nepal, characterized by its all-seeing Buddha eyes.

Lunch: You can take lunch and enjoy the beautiful view of Bhouda stupa. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar square.

Kathmandu Durbar square: The Durbar square is the historic epicentre of the city, where kings were once crowned. It remains a vibrant public space where ancient rituals are still performed daily.

  • Kumari Ghar: The residence of the "Living Goddess," a young girl worshipped as a manifestation of the goddess Taleju.
  • Hanuman Dhoka: The old royal palace complex, featuring numerous courtyards and a museum dedicated to Nepal's monarchy.
  • Taleju Temple: A magnificent 16th-century temple that stands as the tallest structure in the square, traditionally open to the public only once a year.

After Heritage tours, walk from New Road to Thamel for dinner and back to hotel.

After breakfast, you can visit Thamel Bazaar, by souvenir or gift from the Himalaya for your family and friends. Lunch as your appetite afternoon your guide will pick you up from your hotel, drive to airport for Pokhara flight.

Afternoon flight: From Kathmandu to Pokhara it takes about 25 minutes by flight. From airplane you can see spectacular view of Jugal Himalayan and Annapurna Himalayan range. At Pokhara airport hotel's vehicle waiting for you. Drive to the hotel  as your booking 4-star hotel at fewa lake side, welcome drinks at the reception, check-in the room.

At Pokhara: After fresh evening walk at lake side with beautiful sun set view at Annapurna Himalayan range. There are several tourist standars restaurant at the lake side, your guider will take you at the restaurant for dinner.

The flight: Early morning after breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up drive to Pokhara airport for Pokhara to Jomsom flight, after 11:00 it is not possible flight to Jomsom, because very strong wind. During the 20 minutes flight, you can see very close spectacular view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan ramge and Kali Gandaki deepest gorge in the world. From airport walk about 10 minutes for the hotel accommodation at Jomsom.

Jomsom: From Jomsom you can see beautiful gaint views of Dhaulagiri, Tukche peak and Nilgiri very clear. After lunch walk around Jomsom Bazaar for high acclimatization back to hotel for dinner.

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot or cold drinks.  Hotel at Jomsom Bazaar.  

Morning journey: After breakfast at your hotel at Jomsom, drive by privet 4WD jeep to Kagbeni village. Check - in the room at odge. After lunch drive for high acclimatize to Muktinath temple, explore at Muktinath, take cup of coffee and peace of cakes drive back to Kagbeni for night accommodation. Dinner at same lodge's restaurant.

Muktinath: Muktinath is a holy place for the Buddhist and Hindu religious where you can see many Nepali and Indian people from different places. From Muktinath you can see beautiful view of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri. After lunch visit around the Muktinath for the beautiful views.

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Lodging at Kagbeni.  

After breakfast at lodge, register your travel permits at the check post for upper Mustang. Drive along the Kali Gandaki river to Chhuksang for coffee after short rest drive continue Chele to Syangboche a small village for lunch stop.

After lunch drive Geling to Ghami village for night lodge accommodation. Dinner at same lodge at Ghami.

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Lodging at Ghami.  

After brerakfast at your lodge drive to Tsarang for lunch after rest drive continue to Lo-Manthang the capital of Mustang.

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Lodging at Lo Manthang.  

After breakfast at your lodge explore around Lo-Manthnag palace village and sky caves. After lunch drive to Kora La border, enjoy the views at Tibet border drive back to Lo-Manthang at same lodge for accommodation.

After breakfast at your lodge, same road long drive to Jomsom Bazaar, lunch and coffee stop on the way, which your guide and driver will ask and decide with you. Evening you will reach at Jomsom, after long drive take rest and enjoy dinner with local apple wine at your hotel.

Early morning after breakfast reporting at airport, 20 minutes panoramic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. At Pokhara airport holet's vehicle waiting for you, drive to your hotel check-in the room after fresh lunch at lake side as your choice. Day time explore Pokhara lake side and boating at lake if you like, if you don't you can relax at hotel. Afternoon ride Annapurna cable car from Seti Bagar to Sarangkot hilltop takes 10 minutes. From hilltop view tower you can see spectacular views of  above 8,000m. Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Manaslu and many Himalayan peaks. 

Dinner at Sarangkot with Pokhara and sunset view of Himalayan, after dinner drive back to Pokhara at your hotel.

Today you can sleep longer as you like, after breakfast at your hotel sightseeing at Devi’s Fall, and Tibetan refugee camp. 

• Devi’s Fall: It’s great to see this in the morning when the light hits the mist rising from the gorge.

• Tibetan Refugee Camp (Tashi Palkhel): This is a wonderful addition. You can watch residents weaving traditional wool carpets by hand and visit the monastery. It’s a great place to pick up authentic handicrafts.

Fewa Lake Boating: After lunch, One hour boating at Fewa lake. It is the ultimate way to relax your trekking legs. If the water is calm, you’ll see the Machhapuchhre reflection perfectly mirrored in the lake. Back to hotel for rest and relax.

Cable car: Evening 5 minutes’ drive or short walk to Seti Bagar, Annapurna cable car station, ride a cable car for 9 minutes to Sarangkot hill hop for sunset views. From the view tower, you can see spectacular view of above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks Dhaulagiri, Annapurna range, Manaslu and several Himalayan peaks which you saw already from Ghorepani Poon-Hill.

• The Sunset: While Poon Hill is famous for sunrise, Sarangkot is legendary for sunset. Watching the white peaks turn from bright gold to a deep "Alpenglow" pink is unforgettable.

• Dinner with a View: Enjoy dinner at Sarangkot. Looking down at the twinkling lights of Lakeside Pokhara while the Himalayas loom dark and massive above you is the perfect way to end the day.

 4-star Hotel with bed and breakfast at Pokhara.  

Morning Departure: After your final breakfast in Pokhara, you will begin the drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus.

The Journey: Travel by comfortable tourist bus for the 200 km journey. The route follows the scenic Trisuli River, offering views of terraced fields and rural Nepali life.

Lunch: A scheduled stop for lunch at a riverside restaurant along the highway.

Arrival & Welcome: Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink at the reception during the check-in process.

Evening: The evening is yours to enjoy. You may choose  any of the city's many excellent restaurants for your night after trek in Nepal.

Total Driving Time: Approximately 5 to 6 hours (depending on traffic).

After breakfast at your hotel, your city guide will pick you up, you will follow the Arniko Highway (NH03), 15 km. which is a well-paved road heading east. As you leave the dense city centre, the landscape opens up slightly before you reach the ancient gates of Bhaktapur.

Heritage tours at Bhaktapur: Bhaktapur Durbar Square is often called an "Open Air Museum" and is the most well-preserved of the three valley kingdoms. The area is largely car-free, making it perfect for a walking tour. You can visit at Bhaktapur:

55-Window Palace: This 15th-century masterpiece features incredible woodcarvings and was once the seat of royalty.

Pottery Square: A short walk away, you can watch local artisans spinning clay on traditional wheels and drying thousands of yogurt pots in the sun.

Golden Gate: This serves as the entrance to the main courtyard of the palace and is considered one of the most beautiful pieces of metalwork in the world.
After Heritage tours drive to Patan for lunch.

Patan Heritage tours: Patan Darbar Square located in the city of Lalitpur, is famous for its concentration of fine arts and bronze craftsmanship.

Krishna Mandir: A stunning stone temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone with intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata.

Patan Museum: Housed inside a former royal palace, this museum is widely regarded as one of the best in South Asia for its collection of sacred bronze and copper statues.

The Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar): A unique Buddhist monastery located just north of the square, famous for its gold-plated facade and peaceful inner courtyard.

Taleju Bell: A massive bronze bell used in ancient times to alert the king to the grievances of the citizens.
After the Heritage tours drive back to hotel at Kathmandu, re-fresh for dinner.

Farewell Dinner: Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to hotel.
