This trek will start from Ulleri village (alt. 1,961m.) after the motor road trek pass through lush rhododendron forest to Poon hill (alt. 3,210m.) trek continue to Tado pani ending at Ghandrung Gurung village. From Ghandrung catch the vehicle drive back to Pokhara for relaxation.

The Best Season and weather:

Spring (March – May): Spring season for the spectacular clear views. The stable weather brings excellent visibility. In this season rare flowers like rhododendrons and other various wildflowers are found in full blossom in their brightest colours at Ghorapani Poon hill - Ghandrung region.

Autumn (September-November): For this region Autumn has one of the spectacular, uninterrupted views of the mountains and high Himalayas. Perfect temperatures make trekking days even more enjoyable.

Winter (December-February): Clear skies at the low elevations, the air is clean and provides excellent visibility. Temperatures drop significantly in the morning and night thus requiring warm trekking gears. Sometime may snowing at Ghorapani Poon hill region, but it doesn't make any different for the trek.

Your Journey Begins: Starting on day two, immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Nepal, the capital city at Kathmandu. You will visit world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the historic Swayambhu, and the majestic Bhoudda stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

The Trekking: Next, take a scenic flight to Pokhara before driving to the mountain village of Ulleri. From here, embark on a spectacular five-day trek at Ghorepani and Poon Hill, where you will witness one of the most iconic sunrises on Earth.

Relaxation at Pokhara: Following your trek, enjoy two nights in Pokhara to relax or engage in lakeside activities. The journey continues as we drive to the Trisuli River for an exhilarating white-water rafting experience, followed by a journey into the wildlife nature jungle safari at Chitwan National Park. 

Wildlife & jungle safari: You will Spend two nights in Chitwan for an immersive jungle safari, encountering Nepal’s incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. Finally, return to Kathmandu for a breath-taking Mountain Flight (to see Mt. Everest) and explore the ancient artistry of Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Squares.

Hotel Accommodations: At Kathmandu and Pokhara during the package trip, you will stay at 4-star hotel.

 • Twin Sharing: Your room will feature two separate single beds. If you are traveling as a couple and prefer a large bed, it is best to request a "Double Room" in advance, though "Twin" is the default for most tour bookings.

Bed & Breakfast: Your stay covers a buffet breakfast each morning. Lunch and dinner are usually at your own expense.

Amenities: You can expect air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour hot and cold  water, and usually a swimming pool or spa on-site.

Sarangkot: The main destination for Sunrise and sunset views. From Seti Bagar Pokhara,  ride the Annapurna cable car, from the cable car you can see beautiful view of Fewa lake, beautiful local villages and Himalayan views, in 9 minutes you will be at Sarangkot top. From the view tower you can see spectacular view of above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu and other several other Himalayan peaks.

Porters: A porter is necessary for this trek, your trekking guide will arrange from Pokhara. One porter can carry between 25 to 30 kg of luggage. Between two trekkers one porter will be perfect. If you are physically fit to carry your own personal gear, you don't need porter.

The Poon Hill: The summit of Poon Hill sits at an altitude of 3,210meters, nestled in the heart of a vibrant rhododendron forest, which bursts into bloom during the spring.

•    Helicopter Rescue from Kathmandu or Pokhara offers the fastest rescue service but is extremely expensive.

•    Action Required: We strongly advise you to issue a 'comprehensive travel insurance policy' from your home country or in Kathmandu. Your policy must specifically cover emergency helicopter evacuation and medical expenses at high altitudes (up to 3,000m.)

Permits and Fees: For Ghorepani Pooh hill region, not required a trekking permit, you need Annapurna concervation entry permit and a TIMS card (Trekkers' Information Management System). We will handle the arrangement of these for you. The local municipality entry fees will be managed and arranged by your trekking guide on the spot.

Kathmandu to Pokhara flight: To save the time and for the Himalayan views, flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara it takes only 20 -  25 minutes. During this panoramic flight you can see spectacular Himalayan views of Annapurna range and Machhapuchere clearly if you take seat at right hand side.

Mountain Flight: One hour’s mountain flight from Kathmandu to the Everest Khumbu region is one of the most popular ways to see the "Top of the World" without the physical demand of a two-week trek. It is essentially a one-hour loop designed specifically for Himalayan panorama.

The mountain flights depart early in the morning from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) domestic terminal from Kathmandu. Every passenger is guaranteed a window seat for the views.

Rafting at Trisuli river: The Trishuli river is an exciting rapid (the drop) and then have a calm section (the pool) to relax, swim, or enjoy the scenery. You’ll encounter Class II to III+ rapids. 

The Scenery: You’ll pass through deep rocky gorges, and wave to locals in small riverside villages and terraced farms.

Your Daily Trekking Routine:

The Morning Call: Your day begins gently. Early in the morning, your guide will bring a hot cup of tea or coffee directly to your room, followed by a bowl of warm water for washing. After freshening up and packing your duffel bag, you’ll head to the dining hall. A fresh, warm breakfast is served as you take in the morning sun hitting the surrounding peaks.

The Trail & Midday Break: The day is spent at a steady, comfortable pace. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic strolls, capture photographs, and explore local culture - visiting monasteries, schools, or villages with your guide.

Lunch between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, featuring a freshly prepared hot meal and drinks. Following lunch, you’ll have about an hour to digest and relax before resuming the afternoon leg of the journey.

Afternoon Arrival & Evening Relaxation: Upon reaching the day’s destination, your guide will handle your hotel or lodge check-in. Clothing: For this package trip, you won’t need heavy gear because you will be traveling and trekking at low elevations. Normal clothing is perfectly fine; however, we suggest bringing a light warm jacket along with your regular clothes. It can be quite chilly while waiting for the sunrise at Ghorepani Poon Hill or during an early morning jungle safari, so having an extra layer is essential.

Optional: Camera (with high-capacity memory cards and extra batteries), trekking poles / walking sticks, binoculars, notebook, pen etc.

Sleeping bag: We strongly suggest bringing your own normal sleeping bag with an inner liner. Because hotels / lodges blankets are not always warm and clean enough to meet your personal standards. If you, doesn’t have sleeping bag you can buy or hire at Kathmandu as your size.

Daily Itinerary

Warm Welcome: Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, Our representative will meet you at the airport terminal with a personalized sign, handling your luggage, welcome you with colourful flowers, drive to star hotel as your booking. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will be served a refreshing welcome drink at reception while our team assists with your check-in.

First Evening & Briefing: In the evening, you can enjoy dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant. During this time, our Tour Manager will conduct a comprehensive briefing, covering your trekking itinerary, safety protocols, and any other essential information for your upcoming adventure.

Kathmandu is a living gallery of ancient history, where seven UNESCO World Heritage sites are packed within a single valley. A heritage tour here takes you through the "Three Kingdoms," sacred riverbanks, and hilltop stupas that define Nepal's spiritual and architectural legacy.

Heritage tours at Kathmandu: After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at hotel for sightseeing at world heritage list by UNESCO at different places. Heritage tours beginning short drive to Swyambhu nath stupa, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,000 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps for your good Karma and future for all. 

Swyambhu stupa: Swayambhu Mahachaitya, also known as the "Monkey Temple," sits on a hill overlooking the valley. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of Nepal, characterized by its all-seeing Buddha eyes.

Panoramic Views: Offers a 360-degree view of the Kathmandu Valley, especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

Religious Harmony: A unique site where Hindu shrines and Buddhist monasteries coexist side-by-side.

Bhouda Stupa: Boudha Stupa, is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. It serves as the spiritual hub for the Tibetan Buddhist community in Nepal.

  • Pilgrimage Route: Join hundreds of pilgrims in "Kora," the ritual of walking clockwise around the massive white dome while spinning prayer wheels.

Lunch: You can take lunch and enjoy the beautiful view of Bhouda stupa. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar square.

Kathmandu Durbar square: The Durbar square is the historic epicentre of the city, where kings were once crowned. It remains a vibrant public space where ancient rituals are still performed daily.

  • Kumari Ghar: The residence of the "Living Goddess," a young girl worshipped as a manifestation of the goddess Taleju.
  • Hanuman Dhoka: The old royal palace complex, featuring numerous courtyards and a museum dedicated to Nepal's monarchy.
  • Taleju Temple: A magnificent 16th-century temple that stands as the tallest structure in the square, traditionally open to the public only once a year.

After Heritage tours, walk from New Road to Thamel for dinner and back to hotel.

After breakfast your trekking guide will pick you up at hotel, drive to domestic terminal at Kathmandu airport.

The flight:  The flight time will be approximately 25 minutes from take-off to touchdown. On the flight sit on the right side of the plane for the best views of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Annapurna ranges.

Drive to Ulleri village:  Meet with porters lunch at Pokhara, after short rest drive about three hours to Ulleri village for overnight dinner and lodging accommodation. From this place you can get very giant view of Machhapuchare (Fish Tail)

Ulleri is a vibrant, bustling Magar village perched at an altitude of approximately 1,961 meters. You’ll see traditional stone houses with slate roofs, though many have been converted into modern teahouses to accommodate tourists.

Hospitality: Ulleri is a major overnight stop. The teahouses here are surprisingly well-equipped, often featuring hot showers, Wi-Fi, and extensive menus ranging from traditional Dal Bhat to apple pie.

From here you can see giant view of Machhapuchere (Fish Tail) Annapurna south and Hiunchuli.

It is your first day trek at the mountain with beautiful nature and panorama. The trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani is one of the most iconic stretches of the Annapurna Sunrise (Poon Hill) trek. It’s the day where you transition from the steep, terraced farmlands into the mystical high-altitude rhododendron forests.

Morning journey: After breakfast at your lodge, your first day trekking will be start, an easy trek to Nangee Thanti for lunch, after short rest and enjoy the panorama.

Afternoon journey: After lunch trek pass through lush rhododendron forest to Ghorepani Deaurali for overnight stay at hotel or lodge. Your guide will select a comfortable and clean room for your two nights stay at Ghorapani Deaurali.

The Ghorepani Deaurali: Ghorepani is a bustling mountain village with blue-roofed teahouses and several lodges. It’s split into two parts: Lower Ghorepani and Upper Ghorepani (Deaurali).

You will stay in upper Ghorepani: It’s closer to the Poon Hill entrance, saving you an extra 10 minutes of walking in the dark the next morning. From Ghorapani (Derurali) you can get spectacular views of above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range.

Explore Poon-Hill: Early morning after cup of coffee, gradully ascent to Poon hill (alt. 3,210 m.) which takes about one and half hours as gental walk, from your lodge.

Note: We suggest you, please take warm clothing for the Top.

Before sunrise you will reach at Poon-Hill, you can watch spectacular sunrise views at the Himalaya. From Poon-Hill, you can enjoy the panorama with hot drinks with biscuits.

Himalayan panorama: From Ghorepani Poon Hill, you can view a spectacular panorama that includes the deepest gorge in the world Kali Gandaki Valley, Upper Mustang region, and the peaks near the Tibet border if the weather is clear.
Above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks are Dhaulagiri I (8,167m.) Annapurna I (8,091m.) and Manaslu (8,163m.)

On the West: The entire Dhaulagiri range (I to V), along with mountains like Gurja Himal, Mukut, Tukche Peak, Thapa peak and Dhampus Peak.

On the East: Annapurna range (I to IV), Annapurna South, Hiun Chuli, Mardi peak, Fluted peak the iconic Machhapuchhere (Fish Tail) Nilgiri, Manaslu, and many other giants like Ganggapurna, Glacier Dom, and Lamjung Himal.

After panoramic views descent to your lodge for lunch, after lunh just relax and enjoy the day or you can explore to Mohare Danda walk through lush rhododendron forest.

The trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani is often described as the most "magical" day of the circuit. While the climb to Poon Hill gets all the fame, the trail to Tadapani takes you through deep, ancient forests and over high ridges with spectacular mountain views.

Morning Trek: From the Ghorepani Deurali, the trail pass through ridge with beautiful views at lush rhododendron forest. You’ll descend steep stone steps alongside a stream and several small waterfalls. You will eventually reach Banthanti, a small settlement tucked into the cliffs, which is the perfect spot for a tea or lunch break.

Afternoon Trek: After lunch at Banthanti, the trail becomes a bit of a flat (a little up, a little down). You'll cross a small wooden bridge over a stream before a final 30- 45 minutes uphill climb to reach Tadapani.

Tadopani: Tadapani is much smaller and quieter than Ghorepani Deaurali. It sits on a high saddle surrounded by dense forest.

"Touching the Mountains": Tadapani offers arguably the best "close-up" views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). They feel so close you could almost reach out and touch the glaciers.

The trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk is one of the most pleasant and "leg-friendly"  sections.This is largely a descending trail through beautiful landscapes.

Morning Trek: The trail starts with a fairly steep descent through a thick, ancient rhododendron and oak forest. This is the best place to spot Grey Langur monkeys leaping through the trees.

The path is mostly well-maintained stone steps. If it has rained recently, watch your step, as the mossy stones in the shade can be slippery. About halfway down, you’ll reach a small clearing called Baisi Kharkha (Buffalo Pasture). This is a great spot to grab a tea and look back up at the ridge you just descended from.

Ghandrung village: At an elevation of 1,940m, Ghandruk serves as a "living museum." Your notes capture the scale and prestige of this village perfectly. You will arrive by lunch time; you have the whole afternoon to explore. There are several tourist standard restaurants, hotels, lodges and home stay with clean room with W.C. and hot shower are available.  

  • World-Renowned Soldiers: The village is famous for its "Gorkhali" heritage. Many households have fathers, sons, or grandfathers who served in the British or Indian Gorkha Regiments.

  • The "Bravery" Connection: You will often see retired soldiers in the village square wearing their traditional hats (Dhaka Topi), happy to share stories of their service.

Ghandrung is second largest Gurung family village in Nepal. Once there were 700 houses.

Architecture: The "700 houses" are famous for their slate roofs and stone-paved alleys, designed to withstand the heavy monsoon rains of the Himalayas. From here you can get beautiful views of Annapurna south, Hiuchuli and Fish Tail.

Farewell to the Team: This evening is the traditional time to say goodbye to your porters and guide. If you are satisfied with the service and the incredible effort of your team, it is customary to offer tips as a gesture of thanks for their hard work and dedication in helping you reach your goals.

The drive from Ghandruk to Pokhara marks the transition from the high Himalayan heartland back to the lakeside city. As the road network has expanded, this has become a popular way to end the trek, saving about a full day of walking.

🚗 Trip Overview: After breakfast at Ghandrung, pack your luggage and put on 4WD jeep. The distance is approximately 57 km (35 miles). But it takes about 3 to 4 hours, because rough unpaved mountain road. 

Pokhara: Middle of the day you will reach at Pokhara Fewa lake side the city of ''Trekkers Paradise'' You will stay at 4-star hotel as your booking. Welcome drinks at the reception, check-in the room.

There are several restaurants for your lunch and dinner, which you can choose. Afternoon you can enjoy just relax or visit the lake side bazaar.

 Breakfast  with hot drinks.  4-star Hotel at Pokhara. 

Today you can sleep longer as you like, after breakfast at your hotel sightseeing at Devi’s Fall, and Tibetan refugee camp. 

• Devi’s Fall: It’s great to see this in the morning when the light hits the mist rising from the gorge.

• Tibetan Refugee Camp (Tashi Palkhel): This is a wonderful addition. You can watch residents weaving traditional wool carpets by hand and visit the monastery. It’s a great place to pick up authentic handicrafts.

Fewa Lake Boating: After lunch, One hour boating at Fewa lake. It is the ultimate way to relax your trekking legs. If the water is calm, you’ll see the Machhapuchhre reflection perfectly mirrored in the lake. Back to hotel for rest and relax.

Cable car: Evening 5 minutes’ drive or short walk to Seti Bagar, Annapurna cable car station, ride a cable car for 9 minutes to Sarangkot hill hop for sunset views. From the view tower, you can see spectacular view of above 8,000m. Himalayan peaks Dhaulagiri, Annapurna range, Manaslu and several Himalayan peaks which you saw already from Ghorepani Poon-Hill.

• The Sunset: While Poon Hill is famous for sunrise, Sarangkot is legendary for sunset. Watching the white peaks turn from bright gold to a deep "Alpenglow" pink is unforgettable.

• Dinner with a View: Enjoy dinner at Sarangkot. Looking down at the twinkling lights of Lakeside Pokhara while the Himalayas loom dark and massive above you is the perfect way to end the day.

🚗 Drive to Charaudi: After breakfast at your hotel, 116 km. drive from Pokhara to Charaudi takes you on a scenic journey along the Prithivi Highway, following the Marsyangdi and Trishuli river valleys. Charaudi is the primary starting point for rafting adventures on the Trishuli River.

Trisuli River Rafting: The Trishuli is Nepal's most popular rafting river due to its easy access from both Kathmandu and Pokhara. It offers a mix of exciting rapids and calm stretches, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced rafters. The rafting duration will be only three hours.

You’ll pass through deep rocky gorges, and wave to locals in small riverside villages and terraced farms. The rafting guide will provide lunch and hot or cold drinks at middle of the day.

🚗 Drive to Chitwan jungle: After complete the three hours adventures rafting your vehicle waiting for you, drive to Chitwan jungle.

Meals and Accommodation: During your wildlife safari in Chitwan, you will stay in a standard and comfortable safari lodge. All accommodations feature twin-sharing rooms equipped with air conditioning (A/C) and private attached bathrooms for your comfort.

Afternoon safari: After lunch short rest, about two hours Jungle drive by 4WD jeep at deep jungle and Tharu village. Back to lodge for re-fresh and hot drinks.

Tharu stick Culture: After dinner you can enjoy local Tharu stick dance. If you like you can dance with them.

The drive from Chitwan National Park (Sauraha) to Kathmandu is a scenic journey that takes you from the flat subtropical plains of the Terai back up into the hills of the Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the most travelled routes in Nepal, following the lifeline highways of the country.

Morning: After breakfast one hours Canoe Ride at Rapti River to see crocodiles and aquatic birds. Drive to Elephant & Crocodile Breeding Centres: Learn about vital conservation efforts. After all, back to lodge for lunch.

Drive back to Kathmandu: After lunch you will complete the wildlife jungle safari at Chitwan. Drive 153 km. to Kathmandu takes about 4 to 6 hours, up to the road condition and traffic.

Kathmandu arrival: Your vehicle will drop you at your 4-star hotel. Welcome drinks at reception, check-in room and relax. Dinner as your choice.

Mountain flight: Early morning after cup of coffee drive to airport for One hour’s mountain flight from Kathmandu to the Everest Khumbu region is one of the most popular ways to see the "Top of the World" without the physical demand of a two-week trek. It is essentially a one-hour loop designed specifically for Himalayan panorama.

The mountain flights depart early in the morning from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) domestic terminal from Kathmandu. Every passenger is guaranteed a window seat for the views.

Breakfast: Back from mountain flight, you will follow the Arniko Highway (NH03), 15 km. which is a well-paved road heading east. As you leave the dense city centre, the landscape opens up slightly before you reach the ancient gates of Bhaktapur for breakfast and famous ''JuJu Dau''

Heritage tours at Bhaktapur:  Bhaktapur Durbar Square is often called an "Open Air Museum" and is the most well-preserved of the three valley kingdoms. The area is largely car-free, making it perfect for a walking tour. You can visit at Bhaktapur:

  • 55-Window Palace: This 15th-century masterpiece features incredible woodcarvings and was once the seat of royalty.
  • Pottery Square: A short walk away, you can watch local artisans spinning clay on traditional wheels and drying thousands of yogurt pots in the sun.
  • Golden Gate: This serves as the entrance to the main courtyard of the palace and is considered one of the most beautiful pieces of metalwork in the world.

After Heritage tours drive to Patan for lunch.

Patan Heritage tours: 

Patan Darbar Square located in the city of Lalitpur, is famous for its concentration of fine arts and bronze craftsmanship.

  • Krishna Mandir: A stunning stone temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone with intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata.
  • Patan Museum: Housed inside a former royal palace, this museum is widely regarded as one of the best in South Asia for its collection of sacred bronze and copper statues.
  • The Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar): A unique Buddhist monastery located just north of the square, famous for its gold-plated facade and peaceful inner courtyard.
  • Taleju Bell: A massive bronze bell used in ancient times to alert the king to the grievances of the citizens.

After the Heritage tours drive back to hotel at Kathmandu, re-fresh for dinner.

Farewell party: Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to hotel.
