Milke Danda is one of the less tourist areas in east Nepal. For this trek you have to take domestic flight Kathmandu to Biratnagar, drive from Biratnagar airport to Basantapur for the trek. Spring season is the best time to look at the rhododendron flowers, everywhere you can see colourful forest full bloom wildflowers. At this region you can find seven different colours of rhododendron flowers.
The age doesn’t make any difference for this short trek, from 17 to 70 years, anyone can join this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. There are some teahouses on the route to Gufa pokhari, but they are not comfortable for trekkers. During the trek from Jaljale, you can see a nice view of above 8,000m peaks, Kanchenjunga, Makalu and other Himalayan peaks Jannu, Sikkim border peaks. The trek will start from Basantapur, and end at Tumlingtar airport.
For this trek we provide two man sharing double or single supplement, tent with double mattress, dining tent with table and stools, kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, toilet tent, shower tent, an experience trekking guide, cook, kitchen boys, Sherpa helper and porters, meals (breakfast + lunch + dinner) and hot drinks. We suggest every trekker bring your own sleeping bag, because of your size.

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the stars hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive to the airport, morning flight to Biratnagar. Meet with the trekking staff lunch at Biratnagar. After lunch drive about 6 hours by private vehicle from Biratnagar airport to Basantapur via Dharan, Dhankuta. Evening arrive at Basantapur overnight tented camp at Basantapur.
After breakfast, at camp start your first day trek, gradually climb to Tin Jure for lunch, an easy trek through rhododendron forest to Chouki for overnight tented camping. 4 to 5 hours trek.
After breakfast at camp, easy trek to Gufa pokhari for lunch after lunch trek about two hours to rhododendron forest for overnight camping at a really quiet place without any local houses and children. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast at camp, gradually climb to Milke Danda through a beautiful forest lunch stop on the way. Overnight tented camp at Milke Danda. From Milke Danda you can see a nice view of Himalayas, mountains, forest and beautiful valleys. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast, you can explore the Rhododendron forest or Jaljale Himal with your guide. If you like to explore Jaljale Himal you need to pack lunch. From Jaljale you can see the spectacular view of Kanchenjunga range, Makalu and Sikkim bordering Himalayan peaks. After panorama views back to the same camp site.
After breakfast at camp, trek through forest gradually descend to Balukhop, lunch on the way. Very quiet day you will see only the forest and birds. Overnight tented camp at Balukhop. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast at camp, gradually descend through several small villages. Lunch on the way overnight tented camp at Pokhari village. 5 to 6 hours trek.
After breakfast at camp, an easy trek through several small villages, lunch on the way. Overnight tented camp at Chainpur village. Chainpur is an old village which is famous for making Khukuri. 4 to 5 hours trek
After breakfast at camp, there are two choices: drive or trek. Which you can decide with your guide. If you like to trek it takes 4 to 5 hours easy trek to Tumlingtar airport, overnight tented camp near the airport.
After dinner Tips for trekking staff. Trek successful gathering party with your trekking staff and team members. Complete the trek.
After breakfast, morning flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu with your guide, vehicle waiting for you at Kathmandu airport, drive to hotel, welcome drinks at reception check in room, afternoon free day, lunch and dinner as your choice at any restaurant.
After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at the hotel, a short drive to Swyambhu nath, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see a very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Dinner as your choice at any restaurant.
After breakfast at hotel, city guide will pick you up, drive 13 km. to Bhaktapur Durbar square for sightseeing, visit different Buddhist and Hindu temples, palace and town. After lunch drive to Patan. At Patan visit different places, Buddhist and Hindu temples, Thousand Bhudda stupa, Golden temple.Afternoon back to Kathmandu same hotel. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to the hotel.
