19 days Nar Phu Khangla pass trek

Nar - Phu is the last remote village in the Manang region. To reach Nar-Phu valley, you have to drive to Koto village, the main trekking route for Annapurna Thorong pass. From Koto turn right side Nar khola valley. The trekking trail passes through rock cliffs and deep gorge. Lower valley does not have a good view, after the upper Nar khola you can see a spectacular view of the Himalaya.

There are some tea houses on the route to Nar-Phu khola, some of them, neither good nor comfortable for trekkers. For this trek, we provide two man sharing double or single supplement tent with double mattress, dining tent with table and stools, kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, toilet tent, shower tent, an experience trekking guide, cook, kitchen boys, Sherpa helper and mules porters, meals (breakfast + lunch + dinner) and hot drinks. We suggest every trekker bring your own sleeping bag, because of your size.

 

After Khangla pass you will reach Manang Marsyangdi valley, which is a really busy trekkers route. You will take another less tourist route to Tilicho lake Mesokanto pass to Jomsom Kali Gandaki. From Jomsom you will take a short flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city with the view of Fewa lake and Annapurna range Himalaya.

The age doesn’t make any difference for this short trek, from 17 to 70 years, anyone can join this trip if you are physically fit and healthy. We will inform you all the details about this trek, before starting from Kathmandu. Trekking guide will inform you all the details each day’s trekking route and camp site at this region.

Daily Itinerary:

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you with flowers, drive to the stars hotel as your booking, and welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner at your hotel’s restaurant our tour manager will brief you about trekking and other necessary information.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at hotel, drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar with trekking staff by private vehicle, lunch on the way at good place, after Beshi sahar the road not good, change another reserve jeep to Koto, overnight lodge accommodation at Koto.    7 to 8 hours drive.

After breakfast, start your first day trekking, cross the Marshyangdi river’s suspension bridge follow Nar khola valley lunch on the way, overnight tented camp at Dharamsala.    5 to 6 hours trek.
Some trekkers going Koto to Meta direct, first day such elevation 7 to 8 hours trek not good idea.

After breakfast, the trek starts, lunch stops on the way. The trek continues to Chyako for overnight tented camp.    5 to 6 hours trek.

No more forest as below, you arrived at the upper Nar khola valley with beautiful views. After breakfast trek through yaks pastures lunch stop on the way. You will feel dry and thin air, walk slowly step by step, trek continue overnight tented camp at Phu village.    5 to 6 hours trek.

Rest for high acclimatization, after breakfast explore Himlung base camp, back to camp for lunch. In the day time, take a hot shower just relax or visit around the Phu village.

After breakfast, descent same route lunch on the way, trek continues through Chyako cross the suspension bridge at Nar khola, climb to Sartek monastery at Nar phedi for overnight tented camp.    6 to 7 hours trek.

After breakfast, climb a small pass with Buddhist Chorten and mani walls lunch stop on the way, trek continues to Nar village for overnight tented camp.    4 to 5 hours trek.

After breakfast, trek through wide beautiful yak pasture valley, lunch stop on the way overnight tented camp below the pass a very beautiful campsite without any local houses and children.    5 to 6 hours trek.

After a heavy breakfast, gradually climb to Khangla pass (5,360m.) Today you will get a packed lunch (picnic) with hot tea or juice. From the pass you can see spectacular views of Annapurna range, Himlung and other Himalayan peaks. After panora views and Pack lunch on the pass, gradually descend to Ngawal village for overnight tented camp.    7 to 8 hours trek.

After breakfast, an easy walk with beautiful view of Annapurna range and Marshyangdi valley lunch at Braga, trek continue to Khangsar village for overnight tented camp. At Braga the main trekking route for Annapurna Thorong pass will join.    5 to 6 hours trek.

After breakfast, trek through landslide area, pack lunch on the way, overnight tented camp at Tilicho base camp. Normally this place is called phedi, a beautiful campsite with fresh running water. The real base camp is at Tilicho lake side at the glacier.    6 to 7 hours trek.

After breakfast, gradually climb to Tilicho lake for lunch and camp together. Very beautiful campsite view with lake and Himalaya views.    3 to 4 hours trek.

After breakfast, easy climb to Mesokanto pass 5,121m. from pass you can see another spectacular view of Dhaulagiri range, Tukuche peak, Dhampus peak, Nilgiri, many other Himalayan peaks and Kali Gandaki valley. After packing lunch, descend to Jomsom overnight hotel accommodation at Jomsom airport.        5 to 6 hours trek.
After dinner Tips for trekking staff, trek successful gathering party with staff and team members. Tomorrow early morning trekking staff will drive back to Kathmandu.   Complete the trek.

After breakfast, about a 30 minutes morning flight to Pokhara with your guide. From the airplane you can see excellent views of Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Kali Gandaki valley and Pokhara city. At Pokhara airport hotel’s vehicle waiting for you, drive to stars hotel as your booking, welcome drinks at reception check in room, lunch and dinner as your choice at any restaurant.

After breakfast, one-hour boating at Fewa lake, lunch at lakeside, after lunch sightseeing at Davis fall, Tibetan refugee camp and peace stupa, dinner as your choice at any restaurant.

After breakfast 200 km. drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu with guide, lunch on the way. At Kathmandu welcome drinks at reception, check in room, dinner as your choice at any restaurant.

After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at the hotel, a short drive to Swyambhu nath, which is the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,500 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps, from Swayambhu you can see a very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to the hotel.

After breakfast or lunch, our representative will drive three hours before your flight time to the airport flight back to your destination.   Complete the trip.
