Dear all trekkers,

Lunba Sumba is one of the most beautiful, remote and un known trekking region at east Nepal, between Kanchanjunga (alt. 8,586m.) and Makalu (alt. 8,485m.) Himalayan region. It is completely remote area several days trekking at Himalayan region without any local lodge or house. This trekking region is really quite and peaceful, because very less trekkers.

As my experience since 1981 (I was 20 years old) I did several trekking at different parts of Nepal and Tibet, Lumba Sumba trek is one of the best region for the Himalayan views nature and environment. I been this trek in 2013 Autumn with my two best trekkers guest Paul G. Bond and Tim Boyle from UK.

For the different views trek will start from Lelep village (alt. 1,695m.)  after motor road. In near future motor road will be reach at Olangchung Gola village and trekking duration will be shorter than now. Olangchunh Gola Which is the last village for Tibet border.

From Lelep village trek will follow the Tamur river pass through bamboo bushes and rhododendron forest until Olangchung Gola, After Gola trek about two hours than follow another trekking route for Lumba Sumba pass (alt. 5,177m.). Between Olangchumg Gola to Thadum there are not any human settlement.

From Thadum to next village Chamthang, trek through bamboo bushes and forest it takes two days. Sometime you can watch the red panda at this region. In near future motor road will be complete between Num to Chamthang, which makes trek easier and shorter.
