Dear all trekkers,
Namaste! Welcome, for an adventure tented camping trek at Saipal circuit at far west Nepal, near Tibet Kailash border.
Saipal (alt. 7,030m.) Himalayan peak situades at far west Nepal near Tibet bordet at Simikhot district in Nepal. Saipal region it self very remote, less tourist area, close to the Tibet border at far west Nepal, which is really unknow trekking region for the adventure trekkers, only tented camping trek is possible at this region. I been Saipal circuit 2016 autumn season with my two trekkers guest Mr. Paul G. Bond and Tim Boyel from UK. During the trekking period we have't meet any trekkers at this region, first trekker we see at Simikhot for Tibet Kailash trek. As my experience Saipal circuit trek was really adventure trip in my life time.
Saipal region is far from Kathmandu, to reach there we have to take flight and vehicle until Bajang Chainpur Bazar. The trek will start from Tal khot (alt. 1,365m.) after the motor road. Trek pass through several small villages, after Lapari cross two major high passes.
1.Tobhan pass 5,230m.
2. Karang pass 5,350m.
Trekking ending at Simikhot airport. In near future this trekking period will be shorter than now, which make easier and better for Saipal trek.
After Lapari village the views is much better, trekking routes also better than below. Lapari is the last village to Tibet Takla khot border. Between Lapari to Tibet border, there are not any local settlement, only in summer time they open few tea shops for the people who collect Himalayan herbal. Also, there are several yaks and chauri pastures on the trekking routes.
Recent days motor road under construction between Chainpur to Tibet Takla khot, in near future it will be complete, trekking route will be much easier and shorter than now. Between Chainpur Bazar to Lapari village it takes four days trekking without any Himalayan views.
Many trekkers, trek from Simikhot or Bajura Kolti airport to Rani Kharka which called Saipal base camp, for the details, real Saipal circuit trek's itinerary please check at the end of this page.
