Dear all trekkers and climbers,
Namaste! A warm welcome trekkers and climbers from all over the world. We invite you to trekking at Rolwaling region and Pachermo peak climbing. Which is a true paradise for those who love high-altitude adventure, untouched nature, and the serene mountain environment.
About Pachermo Peak: Pachermo (alt. 5,952m.) is a beautiful trekking peak situated near the Tashi Labtsa pass, between the Rolwaling and Khumbu valleys. While the peak is quite steep, it is not overly technical. Your climbing guide will fix ropes for both the ascent and descent.
There is no need to worry; you simply need to be physically fit, well-acclimatized, and confident in your strength to summit. The early morning climb from High Camp to the summit is straightforward. However, the return journey from the summit back to High Camp can be more challenging and carries more risk; your guide will brief you thoroughly on this.
Push for the Summit: To succeed, you don’t need to be an expert mountaineer, but you must be physically fit, well-acclimatized, and mentally prepared. While the early morning push to the summit is exhilarating, the descent back to Base Camp is often more gruelling.
Safety Note: Statistically, most accidents occur on the way down. By the time you reach the top, your body will be fatigued, and the afternoon sun can make the snow and ice slippery. Move slowly, maintain your concentration during the rappel, and navigate back to High Camp step-by-step. Safety first, always.
The View from the Top: If the weather permits, you will be rewarded with one of the most intimate and iconic panoramic views in the world. Having stood on the summit myself, I can confidently say that Pachermo Peak is the premier trekking peak for Himalayan views.
I can promise that you won't just be looking at the mountains-you will feel as though you are standing among them. From the summit you are surrounded by a "sea of giants," including five above 8,000-meter peaks and several iconic Himalayan peaks:
Strategic Planning: You don't have to be worry about missing your chance for summit, we provide an extra day needed to ensure you reach the top safely and comfortably.
Mountains are unpredictable, and your safety is our absolute priority. We understand that the weather or your physical condition may not always align with the summit schedule. To maximize your chances of success, we include a dedicated Reserve Day in our itinerary. If high winds, heavy snow, or health concerns prevent a summit attempt on the scheduled date, we have the flexibility to wait for a better window the following day.

At Rolwaling and Khumbu region there are several Sherpa man and woman who summited Mt. Everest 8,848.86m. and other 8,000m. Himalayan peaks several times.

Because the area is a protected sanctuary, you will often see various wild animals and birds at very close range.
Entering the Khumbu Region: After crossing the Tashi Labtsa pass, you will enter the Khumbu region and Sagarmatha National Park. Established in 1976 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, the park is recognized for its unique blend of breath-taking natural beauty, rich Sherpa culture, and ecological importance.
The park’s protected status helps preserve the local flora, fauna, and diverse wildlife. During your trek, keep a close watch, as it is common to see Himalayan tahr and musk deer grazing nearby.
High altitude sickness and solution: High-altitude sickness occurs when your body can’t get enough oxygen because the lower air pressure at higher elevation above 3,000m. when you ascend too quickly during the trek. At High elevation anyone at any time can be suffering from high-altitude sickness which is common, you don’t have to be nervous but please be attention.
Altitude symptom: If you feel symptoms of high – altitude (Headache, vomiting, loss your appetite, Dizziness and trouble falling asleep) stop to ascending immediately descend as possible. Eat enough garlic soup, take lots of hot drinks and rest.
Most likely, you will feel better the next day. If not, your guide will assess your condition and find the best solution. In the event of a serious medical emergency, please be aware that the nearest clinic is not close by. In such cases, we will immediately arrange an emergency helicopter evacuation.
Emergency Helicopter Evacuation: Your safety is our absolute priority. In the event of serious illness or injury, our guides are trained to act immediately. They will maintain constant communication with our Kathmandu-based agency to coordinate a rapid response.
We can arrange an emergency helicopter evacuation from any point on the trail back to Kathmandu within a few hours (weather permitting). To ensure your safety, we provide a satellite phone for every expedition. This setup includes a full credit balance, extra batteries, and a solar charger to ensure we can always maintain communication for emergency services.
Travel Insurance: Nobody knowable when and where any one sick or injured. Your safety is paramount in the remote mountain regions, treating a serious injury or illness can take a long time if relying on ground transport to the nearest clinic.
• Helicopter is one of the fastest rescue services but is extremely expensive.
• Action Required: We strongly advise you to issue a comprehensive travel insurance policy from your home country or in Kathmandu. Your policy must specifically cover emergency helicopter rescue.
Pro Tip: Please Always carry a digital and printed copy of your insurance certificate and the 24-hour emergency contact number for your provider.
Safety Note - Animal Caravans: In the Khumbu (Everest) region, you will frequently encounter caravans of Yaks, Jopkyos, and Mules transporting goods. If you hear bells ringing in the distance, start looking for a wide spot in the trail to step aside immediately. It’s much easier to find a safe spot early than to scramble when the caravan is right on top of you. Always move to the mountainside (the inner wall) of the trail and wait for the animals to pass. Never stand on the cliff-side edge.
Due to the effects of global warming, mountain weather has become increasingly unpredictable. However, the Himalayan seasons generally follow these patterns:
Spring Season (March - May) Spectacular clear views. The stable weather brings excellent visibility. Above 3,000m, beautiful landscape with Himalayan rhododendrons and various wildflowers in full blossom.
Autumn Season (September - November) one of the spectacular, uninterrupted views of the mountains and high Himalaya. Perfect temperatures for trekking, making days enjoyable one of the best times for the trek.
Winter (December – February) & Summer (June – August): These seasons present significant challenges for Trekking peak climbing. In winter, heavy snowfall frequently blocks the high Passes, making the crossing dangerous or impossible. During the summer monsoon, heavy rains result in poor visibility and the presence of leeches on the trails. More importantly, the risk of landslides increases, and rising river levels can wash out trekking paths or block the motor roads leading to the trailhead.
Permits and Fees: For Khumbu region, trekking permits are generally not required. You will only need Trek permit for Rolwaling Tashi Labtsa pass, Pachermo peak climbing permit, Gauri Shanker conservation / Sagarmatha National Park entry permit and a TIMS card (Trekkers' Information Management System).
