Dear all trekkers,
Namaste! Welcome, for moderate tented camping trek at Paldor peak-Ganesh Himal region.
Paldor peak situated Rasuwa, north west from Kathmandu near Ganesh Himal region. The Ganesh Himal range you can clearly from Kathmandu. At this region there is not any tea houses or lodges at the trekking route. This is an area of Tamang community who believe Buddhist religion. 

Paldor peak - Ganesh Himal is very near trekking destination from Kathmandu. The views are really beautiful, after Syabrubesi there are not good facilities for the trekkers, very less trekkers than other region. Only the option is camping treks, which is more expensive than lodging treks. Gatlang is the last village, at Somthang and Pangsang Bhanjyang there are some tea hours but not good enough. 

During the trekking period we provide tented camping equipment for accommodation and meals. Trekking cook and helper will prefer meals (breakfast-lunch-dinner) for you. Trekking guide and Sherpa assistance will fix the tents, all the staffs will work together for your service. These kinds of trekking service you can’t get at Europe, America or Australia resent days.

During this trek several days camp at beautiful and quite places without any human settlement. This trek will start itinerary from Syabrubesi, Gatlang village, Khurpu danda, Somthang to Paldor base camp. From Somthang, take another route to Pangsang Bhanjyang trek ending at Kaulebesi village drive back to Katyhmandu. From this short trek you will feel, fresh mood and stress less life, return back to your home land with sweet and unforged memories.

Himalayan views:  During the trek you can see very close and clear view of Paldor peak, Ganesh Himal range, above 8,000m. Sisa pangma at Tibet and other Himalayan peaks.

High altitude sickness and solution: High-altitude sickness occurs when your body can’t get enough oxygen because the lower air pressure at higher elevation above 3,000m. when you ascend too quickly during the trek. At High elevation anyone at any time can be suffering from high-altitude sickness which is common, you don’t have to be nervous but please be attention. 

If you feel symptoms of high – altitude (Headache, vomiting, loss your appetite, Dizziness and trouble falling asleep) stop to ascending immediately descend as soon as possible. Eat enough garlic soup, take lots of hot drinks and rest. Next day you will feel better, if not your guide will look for another solution. If you are really serious, we will arrange a rescue helicopter flight from Kathmandu, within a couple of hours to save 100% your life. 

đź“…Trekking season and weather:

Recent days it is complicated about the weather, because of global warming at the mountains and Himalayan region.

Spring (March – May): Trekking at Ganesh Himal Paldor base camp region, one of the best times is spring for the spectacular clear views. The stable weather brings excellent visibility. In this season rare flowers like rhododendrons and other various wildflowers are found in full blossom in their brightest colours.

Autumn (September-November): For this region Autumn has one of the spectacular, uninterrupted views of the mountains and high Himalayas. Perfect temperatures make trekking days even more enjoyable.

Winter (December-February): During the winter months, sometime heavy snowfall may block the Paldor base camp. But clear skies at the low elevations, the air is clean and provides excellent visibility. Temperatures drop significantly in the morning and night.

Summer (June-August): Heavy rainfall and lush greenery (if you don’t mind the rain) heavy raining, very poor visibility, landslides, high river levels may block the trekking trails and motor roads.

 đźŤ˝ď¸Ź Practical Detail and Trekking Services:

Hotel accommodation at Kathmandu: During your stay at Kathmandu, we will provide a 3-star hotel, twin sharing basis room with bed and breakfast services. 

Restaurant and Daily meals: At Kathmandu, there are several restaurants where you can get Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, Nepalese and Continental dishes in veg. or non veg. different kinds of sweet dishes, hot or cold drinks available.

Trekking crew (Nepali staff): Without an experience trekking guide and trekking staff (cook, Sherpa helpers, kitchen boys and porters) any adventure trek is not possible. During the trek, guide and Sherpa helpers will set up all tents, porters will carry all your heavy luggage. Trekking cook and kitchen staff prepare fresh, hot, and delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day for your service. Our entire Nepalese staff team works together even at elevations above 4,000 m. without hesitate.

Daily activities and meals during the trek: Early in the morning, Sherpa and kitchen staff will bring a hot drink (coffee or tea) at your tent, followed by a bowl of warm washing water to freshen up. You can pack up your duffle bag for upcoming journey and join for the breakfast which will be served warm and fresh at the table with scenic panorama of mountains.

In day time, you can stroll around peacefully, take scenic pictures and visit local villages, monasteries or schools with your guide and Sherpas. Fresh and warm lunch with hot drinks will be serve between 11:00 to 13:00 after lunch rest about one hours, than continue the trek.

In the afternoon at the camp, your tent will be set up, and your mattress and luggage will be brought inside the tent. The kitchen staff will bring warm or cold water to clean your face and hands. After freshening up, you can relax in the dining tent with hot drinks, biscuits, and cheese. You will have plenty of time to rest before dinner. Each day cook will prefer fresh buffet dinner, beginning with soup, minimum five cuisine with hot drinks. At dinner time, your guide will ask about the day's trek and explain the program for the next morning.

Please Note:  At high elevation it takes time to prepare hot and fresh lunch, to save the time, we provide pack lunch (picnic) with hot juice and tea during the explore. 

Transportation: For this trek we provide privet jeep or bus as group size from Kathmandu to Syabru besi and after complete the trek drive from Kaulebesi to Kathmandu. For the details, please check daily itinerary at the end of this site.

Trekking equipment and accommodation: For this high elevation trek, you need warm equipment and sleeping bag. If you don’t have such, you can hire or buy at Kathmandu as your size. For the tented camping trek, we provide two man sharing double tents or single supplement high altitude tents with double (Foam + waterproof) mattresses, dining tent with folding table and stools, kitchen tent with kitchen utensils, toilet tent, shower tent, staff and porter’s tent. High altitude equipment for the staff and porters. 

Trekking equipment check list: For this high elevation Paldoe base camp, Ganesh Himal trek, we suggest take with you: Trekking boots, light shoes / trainers, woollen socks (x 3) woollen caps, warm hand gloves, warm or fibre pile jacket, down jacket, windproof jacket & trouser, fleece or sweater, shirts (x 2), long and short trekking trousers (and /or long skirt for women), waterproof poncho or umbrella, sun hat, (3x) underwear etc.

Other essential items: Kitbag and padlock, small rucksack, down sleeping bag (4 seasons +) with inner liner, water bottle (1 litre capacity), head torch, personal first aid, sun and snow glasses/goggles, sun cream (factor 15+) & lip slave, towel & wash kit, whistle, passport, passport-size photographs, plastic bags, money belt.

Optional: Camera (with high-capacity memory cards and extra batteries), trekking poles / walking sticks, binoculars, notebook, pen etc.

Daily Itinerary

Warm Welcome: Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, Our representative will meet you at the airport terminal with a personalized sign, handling your luggage, welcome you with colourful flowers, drive to star hotel as your booking. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will be served a refreshing welcome drink at reception while our team assists with your check-in.

First Evening & Briefing: In the evening, you can enjoy dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant. During this time, our Tour Manager will conduct a comprehensive briefing, covering your trekking itinerary, safety protocols, and any other essential information for your upcoming adventure.

  3-star hotel as your booking at Kathmandu.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at hotel, drive with trekking staff about 4 to 5 hours by private vehicle to Syabrubesi. 

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Lodging at Syabrubesi.  

After breakfast, trek through Tamang village lunch on the way overnight camping at Yuri Kharka far from the village, good camp site between forest with beautiful views of mountains and valley.  

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Tented camp. Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, gradually ascend to Khurpu Danda 3,710m. lunch on the way, trek continue to Somthang through beautiful pine and rhododendron forest. Overnight camping at Somthang.  There are few tea shops at Somthang, nice camp site at the middle of forest.  

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Tented camp.Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, gradually ascend pass through grassy path, lunch and camp together at Paldor base camp. Good camp site with running water and beautiful view.   3 to 4 hours trek.

After breakfast take enough drinks, explore the valley and a small top, from there you can see the spectacular view of above 8,000m. Sisa pangma and other Tibet border peaks. After panoramic view back to camp for lunch. Afternoon just relex and enjoy at base camp. Which is very quite not any noise.  

Meals: Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks. Stay at: Hotel or lodge.  Walking hours approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, same way descends to Somthang for lunch, trek continue through pine and rhododendron forest to Pangsang Bhanjyang yak pasture. Very nice camp site with beautiful views.  

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks. Tented camp.   Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, trek through mountains ridge to Singla pass (4,045m.) gradually descend to Rupchet, good camp site with beautiful views of mountains and the valleys.  

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Tented camp. Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, gradual descend lunch on the way at suitable and peace place, where water available, after lunch trek continue to Gomba gaou.   

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Tented camp. Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, trek through several small village and filed lunch on the way, trek continues descend to Kaulibesi village or before.    6 to 7 hours trek.

 Breakfast + lunch + dinner with hot drinks.  Tented camp.  Approx. 5 to 6 hours.

After breakfast, an easy trek through several small villages to Bitrawati for lunch. After lunch Tips for your trekking staff. Vehicle waiting for you,  3 to4 hours drive to Kathmandu, welcome drinks at the reception check in room. Dinner as you choose at any restaurant.           Complete the trek.

After breakfast, the city guide will pick you up at hotel for sightseeing at world heritage list by UNESCO at different places. Sightseeing tours beginning short drive to Swyambhu nath stupa, which is oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 2,000 years ago. Visit around the stupa, offering the butter lamps for your good Karma and future for all.  From Swyambhu you can see very clear view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Bhoudha, which is biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, build 1500 years ago. Around Bhouda there are several Buddhist monasteries, you will visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, from Durbar square walk to Thamel tourist market sightseeing. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, city guide will pick you up, drive 13 km. to Bhaktapur Durbar square for sightseeing, visit different Buddhist and Hindu temples, palace and town. After lunch drive to Patan. At Patan visit different places, Buddhist and Hindu temples, Thousand Bhudda stupa, Golden temple.Afternoon back to Kathmandu same hotel. Evening our representative will take you for a farewell Nepali typical dinner with a culture program. After dinner back to the hotel.
